Just did some experimenting. A topmount on Cindys with 70mm is just as low as my FSM with Indys and 76mm. Fuuuuuck yeah Cindys!

Ahhhh so much death to this thread!

So I messed with bushings a lot last night at my favorite parking garage while I waited for all the traffic to get out (oh the joys of having a parking garage attached to a theater on a college campus.) Here were my findings (I'm 160#.)

If you want a super precise and controlled setup with little rebound (read: not fun to some people), go with Bones Hardcore hard bottoms on top and a stim shape on bottom. I've tried JimZ barrels (hate the tops), yellow Pumpkins (thanks Greg!) and I'm trying to get some Elims to try. The JimZ barrels have the least amount of rebound but are still great in their own right, and I think the yellow Pumpkins feel the best out of those two. The main issue with having a 10º front is that running an 82.5A barrel is just WAY too soft for the front; it gets mad slop. I bet 85A JimZ barrels all around would be the best. When I used to run flat Indy front and dewedged Indy the white felt AWESOME up front. I really learned last night that the lower degree you go the harder bushing you have to go.

Onto what I'm running now. Double barrels are awesome. In the front I'm running a purple Sabre (88A) bottom with a purple Venom (87A) top with cupped washers all around and in the back I tried a green Venom (93A) and red Venom (90A) with just a flat washer on top because that's all I had. I'm going to try 90A/88A in the back with cupped washers and if that doesn't feel right I'm gonna go back to 93A/90A.

So, I guess what I found was there's nothing wrong with not having shittons of rebound, and that there's no shame in going to a harder duro, especially with a lower degree baseplate. Bushings are the greatest investment any skater can make.

I run either purple sabres all around or purple sabre bottom/orange sabre top. Cannot be beat IMO.
I have a bunch of skateboards

Isn't this what you're supposed to put in a signature?

Which angles? I've thought about that setup actually, I've got some orange cones here.

So general consensus is 10*/0* for DH?
    What about 15*/5*?

10/0* is most comfortable for serious DH IMO.

    My setups:
10/0* Cindy Plates w/215 Indy hangers faced to 182mm width
Purple Sabre barrel front bottom, Orange Venom barrel rear bottom, and two yellow Venoms barrels on top. I've taken it to 50mph+, and I can get hangerbite on my Toecutter. I'm so used to the Indy feel. The RTC on this setup is killer.

I also ran a 15/10* combo on my drop thru Boomerang. So easy to pump, and surfy/carvy as hell.

Side note: the Airflows aren't divey at all and I've actually decided against Cindys at least for the time being.

    I don't get it.

I skate all the time indy, flat, stock everything, no risers, if I ride big wheels I just slap on 1/2" risers. if it bites then I'm probably sliding at that point. If im hauling ass, then I crank down the kingpin nut. and everything works fine.

I tried that Upsetter guide to riding Indy's downhill with the 0 degree Indy and it was soooo bunk having such a dead rear, its great for straight roads and sweepers, but not so good for the tight hairpins out East.

So I took a look at the Hype-Machine with these new Cindrich baseplates and tried it out with 5, 10 and 15 degree's dewedge from Khiro's Angle-riser rail kits...and it feels like im riding a teched out slalom deck.

I'm riding my skateboard with 1/2" risers and 159 indies cranked down to take the speed...and its great for some good ole tight montreal hairpins.

Stock indy is 17 degree and people are paying for a CNC cut baseplate at 15 degrees?

Yes, so that the front is dewedged only a bit without having to add an angled riser to match their even lower degree rear base plate. Plus CNC = cool and shiny?
