actually by the time you throw in a new set of Indy 215's and eliminators you have added $60-$70 to the cost of the plates so $150-$160

True, I was assuming most would have the hangars already if interested in these plates though.

And props on saving up way more just for your precisions than I have been able to working for 3.5 years Dozer...

True enough I have Stage VII hangers faced to 180mm with true 8mm axles. Which is to say that these are close as I'm gonna get to teh prezishuns though I would like to find a couple of Delrin pivot cups

Pretty good. I have a 10/5* setup that I use sometimes, and it's pretty good. Might not turn enough for you, but if you freeride between 25-45 mph, you'll definitely enjoy it.

Or whatever angle you want. Also lowers the ride height by about 3/16", is more precise, and allows you to run double barrels without having to extensively modify baseplates or resort to Core plates which are of horrible quality.

Mmm. No.

running blue tracker stims on bottom and bones hard, tall cones on top. 10/10 plates.

super smooth. wish they still made those stims - haven't found anything that feels as smooth throughout the entire lean.

I'm gonna give you props for having blue stims. The steps fit a little better/tighter than the Elims, no? I think Sk8Kings still has some in stock......

Hey guys....
I am interested on this fellas, but the baseplate angle is hard to choose...i only consider 0 and 5, but there are 3 combinations possible with these 2 baseplates.
Can someone review the feeling of 0/0 and 5/5 plates?
I have read the thread, but would like a full detail review about these...turning power/ lean relations are important....

Thanks a lot!

How do you feel with dewedge angle risers?
what angles do you alredy use?

They fit much nicer than the elims. I have green and yellow as well - stocked up!

There were a bunch available on the classifieds about a year or so back - expensive, but no more than JimZs, and they feel better.

Yikes

0º/0º isn't gonna turn much think running 28º plates on Randals, 5º are like something in between a 35º and a 42º Randal, my 15º/5º setup feels very similar in stablity to, though a bit more carvy than the 50º/35º setup I had.

I used to speed carve on dropped through 50/35 with soft bushings and loose trucks it was a comfortable setup but not as fun as dropped 15º/5º Cindy's also loose as hell (much looser than I have on Randals). I will say this though drop through Indy's and Cindy's have an odd stability about them that isn't present top mounted....No Indy's don't turn the same as Randals but that's the closest way to explain given the lack of knowledge most people have with dewedged Indy's. If you can find a better way to say it I'd love to hear it

Remember too, Indys have a very digressive turn. That is, they turn a lot at the top, and then kind of start leaning without turning so much the deeper you go. For me, that much lean/turn is not needed for DH (I'm sliding out anyway).
This is part and parcel to bushing selection, which can help to mimimalize slop and make for a very reactive (downright volatile at high speeds) turn pattern, even on a dewedged plate.
I find stepped bushings help keep the lean down. Elims work great. Though Jimz, Landy steps, or Tracker stims fill the hanger seats better, and reduce some side-to-side movement, making for a more consistent turn. I generally run a combo of red/green Elims and black Bones Hardcores, and squish the piss out of them. Fills up some gaps, and takes away a little bit of rebound, which I personally don't need a whole lot of for DH.
I'm running 10/5 plates on a Rogers Bros Asym, BTW.
-Lately I've also been messing with a Tracker 184 front and a 0* Cindy rear, with good results

Edit: just read your post Tony. I also find dropping through Indys adds a weird stability. It really "de-sensitizes" them. I've often thought a dropped through Indy feels more like a topmounted Dart.
Edit2: Just read your last post Jamie. I think we're all saying the same thing.
