wat weelz?
If you want to run 15/5 on that thing, I'd recommend wedging the front as you are doing, (should be about a 3/4" standard Khiro wedge to get you from 5* to 15*, although different manufacturers are a little different depending on the height of the low taper) and running 3/8" flat riser rear to even out your board height..
I'm not gonna get into the whole wheelbite prevention recommendation thing cuz it's different for different people, and way too many variables. I will say I ran 15/5 Cindys on my '08 Avenger (outermost holes) with EW 66mm wheels, no riser, and couldn't wheelbite to save my life.

i'll try out the outermost bolt holes and no risers, but will 5/5 be agile enough?

For me, it would be, on the inner holes. What wheels are you running? Maybe you could get away with running on the inner holes and smaller wheels?
You might just want to try it on the outer holes and see if it bites. Or turns. Or both. Or neither.

Re: Indy DH plate
how good are these for speed compared to precision trucks? i never really saw indy as a downhill truck, but im new lol. i have a set of plain indys with stock everything and i never really could bomb on it. atleast not super fast or anything. are these plates like 100 times better for DH then the Core BPs?

Re: Indy DH plate
its the difference between a 50* randal and a 42* and a 35*, its all preference and confidence. i just use the core plates without wedging, others use the various options that are offered here.

i'm running the newer gen smokers, but i'm fine with just keeping the front wedged and the back as 5. right now the board is as tall as a normal topmount

imo
the diff is that the angle is built into the truck already, hence no dewedging is necc. keeping it low. if that is what u want, as stated earlier. BUT another huge diff is the preciseness of dave's craftsmanship and the stable and TRUE fit...equating to a smoother acting truck and a very stable feeling. I believe that any cindrich truck rider would agree with me on this. as far as indys for dh, ask mercado, or old timers like, hutson, blackhart, olson just to name a few.

Re: Indy DH plate
Yah its weird. Indys don't have a straight pivot axis like Randal Geometry trucks. They turn more at the top end, and turn less as you get deeper into the lean. Randals turn and lean at the same consistency throughout the sweep. If you look at the axle nut of a hanger on an Indy plate, it wont move in a straight line throughout the sweep like a Randal will. It will move on a curved axis. Hard to get a grasp of it when just thinking about it. You have to ride them to realize how they feel, obviously. I love Indys.

So they are cast not CNCd. They have a high ride hight already and you need to wedge/dewedge them to have them at the angles you like. The only similarity is the geometry pretty much.
