Wow, this really is Silverfish at it's finest. Badass! $95 is way too much for me vs. a $5 riser but that is so seriously awesome.

Bomb hills, not exams.
I'm thinking $95 is a little steep for baseplates who's only seeming benefits are a different kingpin angle. Do the tighter tolerances really make that much of a difference especially with non-precision hangers?
'Nother thought: Who wants precision indy style hangers?

Re: Indy DH plate
I just spent about 2 hours editing the program to try and save machine time. I might be able to sell them for about $5.00 less than I said this morning. That would be about $90.00 for a set. Thats about all I can do. Billet CNC'd stuff is just pricey, there is no two ways about it. I wish I could sell "billet" stuff at a "cast" price, but I would soon be homeless.
Anyway sorry for the high prices, but thanks for all your positive comments.
I sure hope so.
On the subject....
Just so you guys know, I have no financial or business interest in these plates at all.
I think what may be lost in all this is the purpose of why I wanted these so bad. With standard dewedging, you're only getting 7* or so. Plus, you are adding height to your setup (topmounted) . This way, you are losing 17* or so and getting lower as well.
CNC stuff is expensive. For example, Rad plates are $75 a piece. Not comparing anything here, just saying. And to whoever asked about if these plates being more precise making them worth more money, remember this: Precision stuff is really only as precise is your weakest link, and even that is all pretty subjective when it comes to a cast hanger's pivot.
As far as performance, we'll see. But I think they're gonna work pretty well.
BTW- I will personally make sure Mercado gets a set if he wants some, even if it means he gets them before me.
I know they are not for everybody, but I'm glad you guys like them and I'm happy we have someone here like Dave who can do this cool stuff.

Not everyone uses Randal or similar trucks. Indy's are totally bad ass for every aspect of longboarding. The purpose of these is to dewedge them without adding height ( I.E angled risers ) to be more stable for speedboarding. A lot of people are starting to run Indys in the rear as it is a more stable back truck than a reverse KP truck.

Yeah, but they are rubbish in the front. And you can't really use them in the back with a reverse kp truck up front because you can't dewedge them enough to make it not steer a hell of a lot more from the back... which induces incredibly sketchy characteristics after around 45mph (you don't notice until you try to carve, or hit reflectors at that speed)

So after looking at the photos of the finished product I am not only drooling all over my keyboard but officially eating my hat!!! The geeks have proved me wrong! SH*T LOOKS DOPE!!!!!!!!!! Anyways, I am excited to try some out, do a full review and give a die hard indy fans honest opinion.
On a side note this got me thinking about another application for these....The Mega Ramp. I personally have had a conversation with a few of the dudes who do the mega ramp. They run 215's cranked down for stability on a 8.5 wide board with a 18" wheelbase. There #1 complaint about there set ups are the fact that the 215's are so big and bulky in comparison to the board that they cant minipulate the board like they normally would. I think these baseplates could enable them to ride a narrower truck that is more compatible with the boards they are riding, which would enable them to be more comfortable and end result, MORE RADICAL SKATEBOARDING!!!!!!!!
Just a question here - why are you selling 0 degree plates in pairs?
Won't most people just want one for the back and use a regular BP for the front?
Or are you going to be selling a pair of (for example) 1 zero degree and 1 ten degree?

Keeping as many options open as possible is a good thing. Lots of people like a higher angle truck in front, lower in rear. I don't like the non-symmetrical feeling that it gives, and prefer my boards to feel pretty much the same front > rear, with maybe a harder bushing thrown on the bottom back.
It's all preference, and having all these angle options opens things up a lot.
wow, did this all just kind of explode out of nowhere?!?! what a cool idea!!
i just put a thought into some rep i gave streetheap...i wonder what this could open up as far as potential DH decks for a lightweight (120#) guy like me. perhaps the widerglider is stiff enough for mild DH? or these would make the new 41" supercharger a hill killer??
idk, buuuuuuuuuuuuuut i think sometime i will do the goofy thing 'heap did with the UMHW or whatever the letters are, just to try it out!
also, big props to sandwich for going ahead and just straight up doing this. cool cool cool
Its not really a 0* baseplate, the kingpin is at 0* but the way the truck works, different from a reverse kingpin truck like a randal, it turns differently, so really, this is more like a 45* baseplate.
Hope that helped. And Andrew, you are geekin hard.
