How carvy would this be?
Would Bear 52 deg Grizzlys be close to as carvy as Originals (possibly with Venom bushings? I don't know much about bushings..)?

I could be wrong, but I'm gonna go with no way. The whole point of Original's design is to get a unique carvy feel with more board lean than is possible on practically anything else. Plus, IMO, Bears aren't trucks really meant for that kind of carvy feel. I'd go with Parises with like blue venoms. I've never run anything that soft but it oughta be wicked carvy. What kind of board are you looking at/have?
Yup...I gots me some longboards.

Looking at a Rayne Timeline (one for cheap in the f/s forum). I want to stay around $200 and ideally I'd take a Apex 37 but I'm tired of waiting.

I feel your pain. I ordered the Apex 37 almost a month ago and I'm still waiting... You might also look at the LY wedge flex...I've heard good things about it

If you're looking for a Timeline I'd recommend get Tracker Racetracks not bears.

Doesn't look like it has a usable tail in this picture
EDIT: In case I'm confusing the nose with the tail here.
Regardless, I want something with wheel cutouts

Re: How carvy would this be?
Would a Timeline be too short for someone 5'10" (178cm)?
What other boards should I be looking at for a cruiser/carver for small-midsized hills?
