jimz on bear and kingpin length

i have bear grizlys and i want to upgrade from my pumkins to jimz. i want to run a cup washer on the bottom and a flat washer on top. but ive heard that you migt need a longer kingpin for jimz. is this true or am i fine with the stock kingpin

i'm not to sure but thats pretty much what im running.... except i flipped the cup washer... my trucks seem to be fine with my regular kingpin

I would doubt the cupped washer bottom would fit the bushing, it's massive. Run a big flat washer instead. Other than that you should be ok.

idk my big ass flat washer didnt fit snug around the kingpin and bent like crazy

The bushing cups that come with the orange landy bushings on bear trucks will fit Jimz bushing up to the step,
You'll have to either squeeze or modify the jimz bushing that goes into the deep side of the hanger though (landy's are already molded to fit in, see the flat section) this can be done by grinding it down on your grip tape.

I'll try to take some pics when I get home for comparison purposes.

You can buy them from a hardware store. Just find some that fit your kingpin and are large enough to support the bottom bushing. it's BIG

Here's the 852 setup with JimZ (uncupped top, cupped bottom - baseplate)


& here they are setup without the bushing cups


Stock kingpin, stock bushing cups, just switch the bushings & your good to go.
