    Default Static v. riding wheelbite

So I just finished my new deck. I built it with 70mm wheels in mind and it'll work fine for that. When I put it together I had some 75mm In Heats staring at me so that's the direction I went. I just barely graze the wheels against the deck when just standing and putting all of my weight on the edge of the board. Will lean be more excessive or less when riding? I haven't had a problem yet but I've been paying close attention as not to get anywhere near the point where it would be a problem.

you'll probably never be putting that much leverage on your board while riding and if you are you're probably about to eat #### anyway.

it depends on what kind of riding you do on the board. are you going to be doing hard carving or is it a speedboard? i'm pretty sure it's not a strict speedboard from your posts on nwlb, so if you're going to really slam out a turn at a low speed you might bite but you should be fine.

wooden is right, it depends on what the board is used for. Mr River who rides for lush has his board set up so loose it's wheelbite city when you stand on it static, but cos he only goes really fast, it's fine when riding. Whereas I do a lot of low speed stuff on my DH board as well, standups and stuff which means if I can get wheelbite standing, I can get it moving too.

Riding really fast? You'll be ok
Doing low speed standups and hard carving? Tighten er up

Thanks for the input everyone. It's definitely not a speedboard, but that's coming. That's about two builds out, I just gotta get someone better than me to give some feedback on it.

This deck is essentially a show off deck to demonstrate what I'm capable of building. It's getting used for, cruising, commuting, garages, some speed, but nothing crazy, and I won't be doing anything that I think might risk the looks of the deck. Sounds like I don't need to run out and get those 70s right away.
