    Default Sector nine kamikaze

New to forum. I had a morton's neuroma in my foot for 14 years, so I have only been riding for 2+ years. I rode in my teen years. I love my Kamikaze. 81mm wheels. super fast, but a little heavy. Anyone else own one of these? I heard that they only made 200 cause', they felt they were copying landyachts evo. I believe the sector nine kamikaze is superior to the evo and that we should petition sector nine.

I also think we need a real skate park down here.

Kamikaze is the fastest board I have ever rode. Bones Labyrinth bearings. I know use black panther ceramics. Does any one think bones ceramics are noticeably different from black panther ceramics?

    thanks

Hi welcome to Silverfish! Seems you have a pretty rare deck there, enjoy.

As for decks and speed, there's no difference, obviously, but your Kami is easier to go fast on, compared to a flexy carver.

Don't waste your money on ceramic bearings, it will make no difference.

Spends some $$ wheels though, they can make a dramatic difference in roll speed.
If your wheels are the stock S9's, you are in for a pleasant surprise when upgrading.

If you're riding anything from bones you're in good hands.

I was just posting yesterday that I wondered what had happened to this deck. where are you located?

The kamikaze has more room in front, and is easier to control then the t-shaped front end

I live in Ft. Lauderdale and sometimes I still wished I lived in colorado, for obvious reasons.
I was lucky enough to find it in a small shop in Coconut Grove, Miami. The owner had just bought it and didn't know #### about boards. I commented how 150 or 170(can't remember) was a good price. He said, "we're in Florida, there are no hills." Fool. We have huge bridges, hundreds of 7 level plus parking garages, and lots of i 95 overpasses. We also have the best roads in the country. They are in the process of building a wide concrete pathway thru the center of broward county. I went to other shops who said they were gonna get them in soon, and that they would be priced from 230-530, no ####, depending on the store. I was in Cocoa beach, at the ron jon shop, and they had only recieved one. The kid was so pissed that he didn't buy it.Cocoa Beach has great bridges. I also own a kitewing rage 55. A little out of shape, but will be using when winds pick up; and they do. I'm ridin' goofy pretty good now, and will soon use the kitewing with the board, instead of the roller blades. I would also use the wing on a surfboar, but my work keeps me way busy. Thanks for the great appreciation of this board. peace out.

i've owned a kamikazi since it first came out. and it was in serious need of upgrades. This is the tallest drop deck i have ever riden so first i switched out the 81 mm for some s9 74 race formulas and then installed a set of paris trucks with no risers but it is still taller than the evo.I have been wanting to try Kahas on it to see if that will give me the best ride height but i refuse to take them off my other board, so maybe when i get another set. after playing around with bushings i found a set up that responded really well with this board. It is very heavy and much longer than the evo, it allows for more foot room for much taller riders who have complained about the limited pocket of space on the evo. The board is also more flexy than the evo probably because the longer wheel base. You really need trucks that will turn so you can get this board to respond.... this is a thread about trucks right?
