Some queries regarding kookys vs kahalanis

Id go with the kookys

Iv olso been looking at getting new trucks, somthing a little wider. Ive riden a few diferent trucks, and out of everything so far i like comp2s. As i cant get 2 ride any prisicion truck ive done a lot of reserch through the fish, and from what i can tell the kookys are teh truck. Lots of versitiity, fit on most boards, ie top mount drop etc, stronger better grade alloy, i think you pay for what you get. Your only going to drop that kind of cash now and then on trucks, so just get the best you can afford.
I think you would get away with 70mm wheels, check out this pic

I was keen on the kahas at first, good on top mounts. You cant interchange them with randals etc so your stuck with 45 plates, scratch easy soft alloy cut bushings etc.
I hope this is some help to you, i know i havint riden any of these trucks but im going to get the kookys

Maybe sombody will post a comparison, im sure i read sombody had ridden them both. I think it was jaxxstatic.

The biggest difference between the two is split axle vs not. So if you plan on ever running wheels smaller than 70mm, I'd go with the Kahalanis. Otherwise, the Kookys are better in pretty much every way imho.

i'm diggin' my kooks.... paul (kooky) uses 66 strikers on his on a topmount so i think you can run smaller wheels, you just have to have kingpins that are not too long...or flip them so they don't stick out...

the kook's take an absolute caining too, a few of the aussie guys bought kaha's and said they got marked really easy...something to think about if that concerns you...

then again, of course i'm going to tell you to rep the aussie product....

I don't think the cut up bushing problem is as much of a problem anymore. At least I haven't had any trouble with mine. Also kahas do scratch very easily but it's just looks.

But really you can't go that wrong with either truck. They're both top notch trucks and if you don't like them someone in the buy and sell forum will.
