jst got my new comet voodoo xl which is a DH board fitted - with randal 180s 42 deg , red barrels kirro bottom , yellow elimis top hardest bushes, problem - the board is rubbing against the wheels when turning ?? what would the problem be ? bushes not hard enough that was my thought ??

risers would fix the problem or if you felt like it you could get harder bushings.

What wheels are you riding? If it is above 70 that could be a problem as well.

    Stupid question, but...

Have you tried tightening the trucks first?

Wheels are Orangatang In Heat: 75mm maybe i'll try stiffer bushings maybe above 90a, noticed theres a pink bushing in venom and kirro, thats 97a maybe to stiff? i think thats my problem it is a dh board not for carving? then i'll try risers next if no use last resort i'll get sanding , cheers folks

post a pic of the rub marks if you can

One board I got was getting wheelbite if carved too hard. It was supposed to be speed board but I wanted to do sharp speedy carves instead of downhill. I added 1/4" shock pads and problem solved.

I've got another though where the it'd take serious wood surgery to run the wheels/trucks I want. Instead... I'm getting some of those axle extensions listed above.

You're gonna wanna run 70mm wheels to avoid bite. Stiffer bushings and tighter trucks might help though. good luck!

My vote is for smaller wheels. There are lots of nice options in the 65-70mm range that would make that setup really sing!

ok i ve noticed other folks hve had a problem with the voodoo xl and wheel bite , so ive ordered 1/4 inch risers and green elimi venom bushes , i do have 70 mm wheels as well as the 75mm and i still get wheel bite with the 70mm, i hope it will be sweet now , not had much experience with risers before so i also hope a 1/4 is not to much height ?

I just had the same problem. If you like the ride your getting from the trucks now, like I did on mine. I suggest you try all else before you tweak'em and have to adjust to tighter trucks.

    1) I replaced my half inch risers to 3 single layered quarter inch risers. 2) Used a hand held electric sander to create grooves, which this board didn't have to begin with.

    No more bite. Good luck!

i would put the eliminator bushings on the BOTTOM as thats where the extra urethane will reduce lean the most. IF that doesnt work, then get some thin risers

Where can you buy the surf-rodz extensions? Their official site doesn't have them.

send an email to peterweinrauch@gmail.com or wayne@surf-rodz.com

Although Wayne (Gallipoli) will probably answer your q's and set the deal. They'll be making some more but they're still in beta testing. They cannot give them away for testing anymore (understandable). However, if you'll sign off on their disclaimer, you could still order some of these beta versions, cheaper than the production versions will be. Peter's riding the hell out of 'em. They're about to mill some smaller versions too. I'm getting 2 sets of the big ones myself.
