Re: gfh mini trucks
For sure a great video. Lobo is an amazing skater and I can't wait until we are able to have him up for some footage so we can make a new video. A lot can be done on our mini's, just depends on your skill level. As you can see from the video Lobo's got skillz

Re: gfh mini trucks
I'm thinking of getting the mini's for a 12in board I'm gonna make just for getting around and am curious as to their performance. Some questions I would appreciate being answered are: what durometer are the bushings, how long is the kingpin (can I fit big bushings), and what angle are they at. And any other facts would be helpful.
Thanks

Re: gfh mini trucks
it would be way stupid to put the 3" on the loaded fish... the trucks are just too narrow. there are much better decks to attach the trucks to

I've been in the market for 3" trucks...
How much, friend?

Re: gfh mini trucks
ok, if you're going to chop it up i dont see why they wouldn't work. they are fun little trucks. put some 62-68mm wheels on there with 3/8'' riser. good fun

Re: gfh mini trucks
i've ridden the 3" GFH trucks with some of their wheels on a cut up s9 (about 10-12" wheelbase) and they are definitely fun. With such narrow trucks you hardly have to lean to turn at all and you can pump like a mad man. I'd get some if I had a board small enough for them.

Re: gfh mini trucks
i dont like them at all, they got me a concussion once....
they are narrow and fun, but they also love to give you wheelbite, or baseplate bite for that matter if you put big wheels on there, like 75mm.
they are pretty much worthless for any board wider than the gfh's that come stock with the trucks in my experience. i tried putting them on a 85x17cm board with more than one inch of riser, yes thats right, one fuking inch, and 69mm rf's, and i still got wheelbite as soon as i tried to carve just a bit harder, or pump or whatever. nice trucks for really small boards, otherwise i would recommend indys. i love mine!

Re: gfh mini trucks
yeah, you really do need to run them on a really narrow deck which is why they work perfectly on all of the GFH minis.
I have 3 pairs of the trucks. My experience is this; you need to run either sideset, 65-70mm wheels, or wheels less than 65mm and at least 1/4'' riser with wheels larger than 60mm.
They are incredibly fun trucks but have some strange drawbacks that really ought to be addressed in the future in order to improve the product. The kingpin is short and really loose in the baseplate. It has a strange rectangular base on it rather than the traditional hex-head. Also the pivot pin is flat on the bottom making for a not-so-smooth turn. They tend to stick a bit in the middle due to this. I remedied the pivot pin issue by taking a file to it and rounding it off and making it a wee bit narrower. Then I took some fine grit sandpaper and smoothed it all out. This really helped the smooth turning issue and now they feel much better. The stock bushings they provide with the trucks are special green Khiros. I think they are around 80ish durometer, I cant remember. They are good bushings, just way too hard for such a narrow truck. This however is my opinion, as I prefer to run my trucks floppy loose when possible. I like to be scared shitless when I ride my minis.
Other than all of that, the trucks bare an uncanny resemblance to the 3'' Triumph trucks distributed by Full Circle Dist. The Triumph trucks are also half the price for being the same product.

Re: gfh mini trucks
Glad to see the trucks I sent the good people at Madrid for a "present for an employees girlfriend" made it to our foundry to make knock offs.

Really? Thats a bummer to hear. I have had nothing but great experience dealing with you and your company and I intend for my next mini to be a deck from you guys to attach some of my GFH 3 inchers to.
