The faster you ride the less you lean. I've tried some pro types speed board and it was MASSIVE bite town when not moving, but he was tanking down hills at 45mph+ no problem at all.

Ye the bombhills wheel cut-outs are super perfectly designed... someone with a brain put a bit of thought into them!

Hey man, I have a question. I bought a set of cupped bushing washers the other day (can't seem to find washers before) and used it with my randals with a new pack of orange standard (barrel&cone) venoms. After a sesh i noticed one of my trucks is offset, its in a turning position even when i'm not on the board. I checked the bushings and the barrel bushing boardside was actually sitting awkwardly on the washer. The washers seems too big for the bushing and the bushing seems to be not centered on the washer. There is more material on one side than the other. When I took the bushing out, it was a bit deformed. Do you think this is a washer issue or a bushing issue? Could it be that I have to use a harder duro for my weight? (155 lbs) I used to ride on all orange super carves but I wanted more stability. This is actually my first time trying on barrels boardside so feel free to enlighten me!

    Thanks!

How tight did you do them? It's possible you overtightened them? Pics would help a lot.

Thanks for the quick reply! I stopped a half turn after i felt hard resistance on the nut. There was no bulging in the middle too. I'll post pics tomorrow after I get to skate again.

Did it definitely seat properly in the bushing cup? The washer sounds fine, it may be something else though. See if you can get someone to check everything is still in place when your board is at full lean.

From my experience, landyachtz bear grizzly cup washers are the bees knees for almost any barrel bushing, including reflex, sabre and venom.

Look into some reflex bushings, I find myself getting more turn depth (better carves), and being more stable, because of the size and rebound of these bushings. They also have much better quality control than venom I think. The soft duro's are amazing. Lime barrels and tall cones are like skating on clouds.

Cant you tighten a bushing to much.If you do will it rebound to its orginal shape or will it ruin the bushing?

^Hmmm that pic is vaguely familiar...

Anyway what I think he was asking is whether you can ruin the bushings rebound properties by tightening them too much and destroying the elasticity... I think I might have done that with some 81a eliminators. Tightened them WAY tight for a 50+mph run, and now they feel less bouncy as they did when they were new. They still are amazing for DH though.

Heh, I think I nicked it off your thread, it was just too perfect. cheers!

Yeah if you overtighten a bushing it messes up its rebound instantly. You can still return it to normal by loosening it off again quickly. If you leave it like that for a while though it'll end up knackered way before it should have.

Yah still totally skatable... just not... perfect.
If they still feel good to you, then don't worry about it.

Just enough that the bushing is 'engaged' in the middle point and not slopping around. Too tight and the sides bulge out a bit, too loose and you can feel it flop without engaging the bushing when you wiggle it by hand.

I am using 90a red venoms board side and 85a yellow venoms street side. it feels really loose in the turns. should i go with a harder bushing

Get a whole bunch, find what feels good. Money well spent. Every single person on this entire forum will agree. (or disagree to be difficult, which is more than likely)
