Bushings. Different types and how to set them up.

I have learned alot from reading this thread! I have Abec 11 reflex barrels 89a and khiro white cones on my paris180s, and need something fresh

I ride a sector9 dreamwave until I can find a cheap drop through and I weigh 130 any and all suggestions are appreciated. I am thinking purple sabres all around.

anyone know the duro on those?

88 or 89a I believe

I use them all round myself though and I'm getting on to 200lbs. You could maybe consider mixing it up with some of the cones.

Sabre
F-barrel - 88 purple
R-barrel - 93 green
X-cone - 86 orange

Purple/orange combo has proven carving madness on multiple trucks, starting with the Indy hybrid 215's.

Before you ask, get the Scimitar so you never have to worry about wheel size. They come in multiple lengths. I've got a 46" and 38". Oh and I recently topmounted the 38" and it's still slammed low but even more fun.

those are pretty flexy though right, I am looking for astiff board

would purple barrels and orange cones do the trick? is there a double barrel or eliminator combo that I can use?

Personally I dont like mixing two different bushings on one truck, Ex Red/Blue Khiro. The softer one ends up getting used more.

Really depends on the weight of the person.

Hi, im still kinda new to the whole longboarding scene. I started out as just community for school but got interested into carving and considering sliding. Im riding a vanguard flex 4 on paris 180s that came with the stock venom standard 90a I believe and I only weigh about 110-115lbs. For bushings, Im considering buying venoms, reflex, or sabres since those seem to be reliable. What kind of duros should I get for a better carve and to learn to slide?

At 110lbs go SOFT. Try the sabre cones or some blue venoms or pink reflexes.

I've been looking into venom vs reflex more but haven't figured out their separate pros/cons. Could someone elaborate on how they are (assuming all the duros are the same or close to the same and standard barrel/cone combo)? And how would they react if mixed like reflex barrel bot with venom cone top or vise versa?

Edit: Would like to add questions about Sabres. I want to buy bushings along with the MHS bearrings promo but he won't get new shipment of reflexs till next week sooo bummer.
Would going Sabre bushings work considering my light weight? Would going X-types lack too much stability? Perhaps just going F/X-type and loosening the trucks would be more ideal. Also how do they compare to venoms? I believe I've read that they're very similar to venom but more rebound for it's duro and lacks options since it only comes in 3 types.

save up like 50 buck and then just go crazy and try all sorts of bushings and styles and duro. buy a khiro box of bushings. its so fun to try with all sorts of diferent combo and style mixes
