    Default Tracker MidTracks bushing seat

I searched, and came up with nothing.

My girlfriend just bought a Tunnel 70s reissue board with Tracker 85mm trucks and OJ III HotJuice wheels.

The stock bushings were crazy hard so I bought her some Blue HardCores, since she only weighs about 108 anyway. The bushing seemed to be spilling out of the seat, and I notice the seat is pretty small.

What gives? Anybody else have this problem or have advice on how to make it better?

Cell phone picture. Can't find my camera... I can always try to take a better one, if needed.

EDIT: They're FulTrack 106mm trucks. Problem is still the same though.

I've run those same bushings in 106mm Trackers. It looks like you gotta take the nut off and reposition the bushings in there and put the nut back on making sure it stays in the bushing seat.

I did. It then spilled out again. I put the top washer back on to restrict it a bit more, to see how it works out.

I'm going nuts here, I just gave it a whirl, and it happened again, so I took the washer off because I didn't want it to cut into the bushing, and the plastic ring separated itself from the bushing! Could it be just a bad set of bushings?

EDIT: It's only on one truck, if that says anything.

Your nut looks really tight, just get it so the nylock is on.

Those bushings are too short for that truck. Run stims. The bushings were designed for that seat.

    The bushings are too tight.
If you think they feel too soft and that's why you tightened them that much, then go up one hardness (yellows?)

Bones hardcore don't respond well to overtightening, just snug.
It's more a hardness game than pressure...

I guess it was just a bad bushing, because the one that was giving me problems fell apart. Right now, she's running blue Doh-Doh barrel bottoms and Bones HardCore blue bottoms on top. No spillage, or busted-ass bushings. Thanks for the help, guys. Also, if you wouldn't mind helping a brotha out further, at 108lbs; would it be more advisable to get her blue 85a Khiros or orange 79a? Thanks again, brothers.

It fell apart because you tightened it too much.

Using a cupped washer on top of the top bushing (between the bushing and nut) would have made your truck feel a bit tighter and probably would have solved your problem.

put a washer on top, the nut will crack the plastic insert. The are designed with the use of a top washer. they come w/instructions and clearly detail the need of a top washer. i love bones bushings.

I love 'em too, and never used a top washer! But hey, it happens I guess. One out of a handful ain't bad.

@CRASS Na, I ain't grinding 'em at all, seeing as it's my girlfriend's board.

I love that thing though. Might have to get me a similar board on Ace 11s soon, because that thing is the balls.

@TKC Then in your opinion, other than the obvious problem of the defective bushing, were you happy with the blue bones bushings? I want to upgrade the bushings on my midtracks and your trackers are close enough in size for me to get an opinion . I want something that I can easily carve and pump in but I still want to have it relatively stable for regular pushing. So pretty much, how soft did they feel under your weight? I weigh 150lbs.

    Thanks in advance.
