    Default 204mm Kahalani's [REVIEW]

Well hello, i've bolded some key points. Hope you find this useful and informative.

So, you are interested in buying precision trucks, or you already have a set or two and would like to try out some 204mm Kahalani's. Well, here is what I think of them.

They look stellar. I recieved mine second hand and mine were barely used... had one or two knicks in them. (whatever..these trucks couldn't have possibly imagined what I had in mind for them) I threw in 85a tops front and back and 88a front and 90a bottoms all around (I weight in at 14.3 stone)

I got them and threw them on my Loki flush, then went and skated some gnarly stuff in New York state with them. scrubbing through heelside turns with both hands in the air like you just don't care was a #### ton of fun. They really made it easy to hold the line through the drift, yet if i wanted to drift a little more... all i had to do was tweak the back out a wee bit. (note: Image is not on loki flush nor in NY state... but same #### different day)

After a week on my loki... I went up to Ithaca home of comet skateboards. and created a deck shape that I thought would be rad. After making the deck... we went and skated and filmed a little bit. I threw my Kaha's on that board...

I'm throwing the standy at... 35 seconds in that vid. Throwing standies on them felt really comfy too. Not as much of a difference between good ole cast trucks and these. They felt a little more predictable. While in ithaca we skated the little skatepark, and kaha's grind nicely as well. hit the 4ft coping with them on the half bowl. (sorry no pics or video)

One of the more noticable differences is... my wheels wear much more evenly. due to the true 8mm axles which is a plus.

Then this past weekend. I finally took them faster than 45, I needed to give me kingpin nuts a turn, but only to a point where there was no "slop" in them. (OH NO! Precisions with slop? no, i just had mine ungodly loose that the hanger would wiggle...nahmean)

They were steady as all hell.
I also I pretended I was a pterodactyl with them...

I've early grabbed into the sunset with them....

Early grabs got a lot easier because of how light these trucks are. I used to be a stinkin' two hand grabbing early grabber... but is one handed all the way... unless it is for a 180 early grab...

All in all, These trucks are sick, and i'd fully recommend a set of these.

Personal responsibility for one's choices is dead and buried, even in something as simple as a plank with four wheels.

I rode 204's for an year and decided they are wayyyy too wide! Your weight is not thrown directly on top of the wheels but the inside. Everything but centerset wheels when sliding feel really janky and odd. I definitely will stick closer to 180 mm on my next width of trucks.
If your not skating for fun, what are you skating for?

I guess Brian, but I like the way they slide now and all that,
I def want to try a set of the 184's though.....

I haven't any problems with a choppy slide or anything.

word, exactly how i feel about mine, minus the grinding.

i'd definitely recommend the 184s. nice and turny, but still rock solid at speeds.

I really wanna hear someone who's ridden both surf rodz and 204 kaha's, and compare and contrast.
I have a bunch of skateboards

Isn't this what you're supposed to put in a signature?
