So have I, but there is no way of knowing when a Paris truck was made.
We can tell Indy and Randal stages apart, but we can only tell Paris apart from when they went from 4 holes to 6 holes.

How can you identify a newly upgraded Paris?

The new ones have a much beefier hanger, easy to see.

I can say this, they've been hitting a lot of distributes and selling out before they even arrive. A lot of fast turnover. If you know where they are coming from, there's a good chance you can get a set fresh from the factory.

Tracker Fastracks are pretty close to 8mm as well I have had to push bearings on them pretty hard

Aces have a nice trueness and are close to 8.
Indys, Trackers, and Holeys feel real solid. Could be the strong casting helping out though.

+1 for crail. you can fell its a tight fit when the you slide the bearings in.

Benefits of true 8mm axles include more traction, better wheel wear, and what else? I see Xgecko retrofitted his Indy hangers with true 8mm axles; how does one go about doing this?

Earlier stage Indy hangers had axles that were much easier to remove and swap for better.

I dont think thats the case anymore with stage IX and X
