Those were discussed here a while back..
I think the general concensus was that they
are a novel idea, but the force generated by
the magnets isn't enough to actaully notice..
I think you'd be better off with your choice of
"normal" trucks and some good new bearings,
I think it would be more noticable..

Those just seem like a scam as you can't directionalize magnets in that way. The only way to get power out of magnets is to turn them on and off or push them around. Basically if these do work they violate the 2nd law of thermodynamics.

you would think that, but if the guy got a patent for it, you'd think that he would have some legitimate logic behind it..

so I most definitely feel like skategeezer for posting this, but it randomly showed up, and so here I am!
Summary: trucks that double the amount of distance traveled by capitalizing on the force exerted by the rider.
Pros: more distance for less push
Cons: only works in one direction i.e. a symmetrical board is most definitely not the target market
Magnets are also prone to breaking/shattering because of abuse from rider.
The answer is no.

What about a truck that uses magnests for bushings? that would be interesting.

obviously couldn't work that way as... you cant ride those wheels, and that gate he talks about would stop it.

as ridiculous as that sounds that could almost work.
almost.
Well if you still had the kingpin to guide the truck than im pretty sure that if you have strinfge enough magnets it could easily work. the only impracticall part of this is that the magnest have to support at least 200 lbs. If you use neodynium magnets then im pretty sure it would work and they're not too expensive.

Ok i just got an ingenious idea ill make a drawing and put it up, btw please out of common courtesey dont copy this idea and patent it, then you'll just be a total douche.

The only issue I can see is them being twitchy during long, sweeping carves. Maybe if when you are carving, the return to center force makes it stable at an angle. This is tough to explain, but I'll state it in more detail. When a truck is turning, it is at an angle. If the return to center force changed while the truck was turning to the angle the truck is turning, this would be crazy...
Edit: An electromagnet powered by the rotation of the wheels would work as a supplement to a strong earth magnet

its a cool idea i guess but theres too many flaws. like how are riders for different weights going to ride them and things like that.. but it would be cool if you work out the kinks
