    Default Indy 199 (?)

Today I was thinking (<- a new thing for me.) How sick would Independent 199s be? Like, 170mm would be awesome to DH on with some Cindys.

I'll stick with my 215's..... some of the reason they rule so much is because of the width.
I have a bunch of skateboards

Isn't this what you're supposed to put in a signature?

buy some 215s and mill the hanger down to the right size. then use spacers on the axel to space te wheels from 170 or more. i dont think you can remove the axel fro the indy hanger. tvar did something like this for slalom purposes, if you search "indy mod" youll find it.

    What they said....

I think this was a 129 "low".. Now it's about 110mm wide, spaceable out to it's original width...

to do this do you just put the axle in the collet/chuck of a lathe and let the hanger spin and cut it down that way?

You could just use a good quality counterbore tool to do it..
I've milled Tracker 106mm down to 99mm, and Bennett
    5.0 down to 4.5..

It would be great to have RTS 129s and Bennett 5.0s milled to 106mm and 4.3 still spacable out to the origional widths. If they were all Galacized, that would make on hell of a smooth and versatile pair of trucks for LDP.

im not sure about rts, but i know some of the trackers have 2 stub axles pressed into the hanger, so if you chop it down you are essentially weakening what is holding the axle in place.

Thats so lame. if you are pressing it in why not press in a solid axle?

i also have some 129 lows id like machined down, if they would make a nice front or rear slalom truck

I've never heard of any Trackers having stub axles - Except the red offset slalom rears (modified for Tracker by Chicken?).

The RTS, RTX, Mid-track, 6-track, Ful-track, Fast-track etc. etc. definitely have a thru-axle, not stub axles.

like i said, im not totally sure. i know that darts did because when i tried to chop it down i found the axle did not run through the hanger, but was 2 separate parts
