New bent Randal II 180s off ebay

Has anyone bought there randal II 180s off of ebay? or even new from the randal site and had the trucks come with bent axles? I don't have another pair of randals to compare them to. But These are very bent, both of them. Has anyone else experienced this?

"New" and "bent" don't belong in the same sentence. They're either "new" or they're "bent", but not both.

Are they BENT, or just not too straight? Barring diy modifications, no one owns an actually straight set of cast trucks.

You have to watch out for bootlegs on eBay; they might not be genuine Randals.

it depends on what you mean by bent.

two years ago i was sitting around and my friend walked in with 6 new randal r2's.

wanting to see how the quality was on these trucks, we tested every hanger by firmly securing a wheel to each side, and then spinning the hanger vertically to see what kind of oscillation there was.

every single hanger oscillated (ie, not straight) but some were far worse than others. the best of them only oscillated within 1 diameter of the axel width, the worse oscillated so bad it wasnt funny (like 3 or 4 diameter widths)

if you want arrow straight axels, you need precision trucks or randal comp 2's with the floating replaceable axels.

thats not true... the heat involved with pouring the trucks tweaks the axles more than people think. in fact, its hard to find new cast trucks that ARENT bent

I'm running on the assumption that the OP means the axles are BENT bent. Not however bent it is when it comes out of the factory.

Thanks, Glad to know I am not the only one. I imagine they will be okay to ride on. I did not have this problem with my trackers.

When I first started skating I bought some randal 180s off of ebay and those were more straight than the legit R-ll's I have bought.
It's hit or miss with cast trucks, either you get a truck with the least bent hanger or you get a hanger bent to ####.

You will never find a cast truck with 100% straight axles,most are off to some degree,does this affect the ride?No,so stop obssessing,no matter what people think the skateboard isn't that much of a precision instrument,it doesn't need to be.Don't stress about it enjoy your trucks and get out on them.
