    Default Core pivot cup seat

I'm absolutely stoked about owning these carving machines. Though ever since I setup my 215 core hybrids (about 3 weeks ago) i've noticed that the pivot "nub" of my Indy hangar does not seat in the core baseplate as snug as it fit in the original Indy baseplate.
I suspect maybe the pivot cup is to blame for the excessive play in that area of the truck. The play is only 1/16" max, but definately noticable. I'm going to try replacing the pivot cup with a Indy replacement cup to get a more secure fit.
Has anyone else experienced this with a similar setup?

that will only work for reverse kingpin trucks. in conventional trucks the pivot nub rubs against the bottom of the cup moving sideways, pivoting and all sorts of crazy shiz.

    Provided your cups are good....
Regardless of plate, unloaded Indys sometimes won't seat all the way into the lower pivot if your bottom bushing is too tall. Twofold:
    1) The hanger is sitting at a steeper pitch causing the pivot to slightly bind. Unloaded, this will give you side to side play in the lower pivot.
    2) Since the hanger is of course sitting higher, the slop factor goes up when the trucks twist. The hanger pivots sideways and "up" away from the bottom bushing. Some like it, some don't. This is magnified when your bottom bushing is harder than the top.

They'll usually seat better once you stand on your board, but if you have any doubts, you can sand some height off of your bushings. For my shortboards and DH setups, I generally use harder Elims, Bones Hardcores, Tracker superballs, Tracker Stims, Tracker hourglass, or Khiro barrels in the bottom. I control my rebound/lean resistance with the top bushing, and use whatever up there.
In other cases, like with a pure carving or pumping board, I'll use a big and/or tall soft bottom bushing like a green stim or yellow reflex, and a very short small cone (like a black Bones Hardcore top) and crank it down so there's no slop. The top bushing doesn't compress much and maxes out way before the bottom. Gives a nice, divey, positive turn.

the stock core pivot cups are bigger than the indy/ace pivots. small khiro pivot cups fit much better.
