too much play in trucks?

is there such a thing? the rattle from the top washer is annoying, but i love the feel of carving and dancing with my trucks loose. the issue is, there's a lot of play in the trucks. haha it kinda just wiggles when i touch them. is this at all detrimental to the trucks?

yeah it's just sloppy. Get softer bushings. You can ride those tighter and still get a lot of carve.

Your bushings are too hard. Run softer bushings and tighten the kingpin nut (more).

Softer bushings plus spacers plus speed rings plus clean/new bearings plus <80a wheels = silent cruising, great way to sneak up on smoking hot betties

there are times when I like it better rattling with harder bushings....that said presently my setups are all of the soft bushing tighter kingpin variety
