    Default Truck Question...Please Help!

    My setup:
    Loaded Pintail
    Paris 150s
    3dm Avilas
    Abec Builtins

i want to know if using Randal 180 base plates with Paris 150 hangers would basically be just like Randall 150s. Loaded says the Paris trucks take away a little of the flex. I'm wondering how my board would ride with Randall 150s? Is this doable and does it have the effect I'm asking about? Thanks for your help.

you can interchange the baseplates but your wheelbase should stay about the same. so, changing the baseplates isnt going to change the flex.
it you want a little bit flexier ride you could try some indies. they will extend you wheelbase a little bit making the board a little flexier feeling

paris baseplates sit the hanger in about an inch. look at the randal plate and see how the pivot sits out past the rest? the paris doesn't do that which makes the wheelbase essentially shorter and the deck slightly less flexy.

it really doesn't change the ride that much though.

can i do what i was saying though (randall 180 base with paris 150 hanger) and essentially have trucks that would perform like the randall 150s? also what bushings woudl be better? i'm just trying to see if i can get a little more flex out of the setup and be able to pump and carve a little better. i love the paris 150s the way they are but i just wanted to see if i could tweek my setup.

If you really wanted to pump and carve well, you could try a new bushing setup.

I dont ride my pintail backwards, so I have harder bushings in the rear and super soft up front.

flex 2 that rides more like a saggy flex 3
paris 150 78a venom standard front, usually 93a venom barrel/softer barrel top
    wheels.

try a set of softer standard venom bushings, its will be a little cheaper, and you can use the stock bushings to tweak the rear truck.

The stiffer flex would probably benefit you in the long run anyways... more energy out of pumps.

In my opinion, they would perform better... Paris trucks have deep bushing seats <3

Also, Randal plates are just by the degree, the 150 plate is the same as the 180 plate, as far as I know.

    Also also, Venoms.

The simple answer is yes, but your money would be better spent on new bushings. There is a thread on this. And it is stickied.

I seriously SERIOUSLY doubt anyone would really be able to tell the difference between randals and paris in terms of deck flex. Maybe if it was randals vs indis where the wheelbase can differ by as much as 2" but Randals and Paris? I seriously doubt that.

I have a Loaded Pintail. Originally I had it set up with Randals and switched over to Paris. There is a noticeable difference in flex, albeit very slight.
