A kit for light, normal, and a heavy in downhill packs. Light would be like 78a, 81a, 85a, and 90a and then a medium with 81a, 85a, 90a, 91a and a heavy with 85a, 90a, 93a, and 97a. You could even just do two kits. Then a premium kit with all the duros in downhill and standard pack. and all the little things like pivot cups and kingpins that fit your bushings perfect and washers.

Yeah man, include the little things. I built up my own kit to completely overhaul trucks and tweak them out. The look on peoples faces when they have proper pivots cups, washers, spacers etc is amazing!

Or a basic kit just with a range of bushings for the application?

A setup guide would be good, lots of people are confused to how it works. Feel free to plagurise my sticky thread if you wanna save some time, I'm sure you already know WAY more than me about busheys though.

Bushings. Different types and how to set them up.

Would love to see this anyhoo. I'll certainly be purchasing some of them venom pivot cups, they sound delightful!

Kingpin length is also dependent upon the truck being used.

Ahh, forgot. Well at least a kingpin that fits the majority of trucks. like 2.75 or maybe even 3.

I'm definately for a Venom bushing kit, different weight kits would be icing on the cake. That's kinda why i never wasted my cash on Khiro kits, i'd only be using part of the assortment.
I started buying my Venoms from Longboardskater.com, they are the only place i know that sells individual Venoms for customization on a budget, also the only place i've seen split wheels, like bigzigs and zigzags, into pairs for a custom duro setup, that's genius!

there should be a light kit with your choice of standard, dh, super carve bushings

and a heavy kit with the choice of standard, dh, super carve bushings

and then the deluxe kit where you could get get numerous amounts of each bushing duro, 4 grade 8 kingpins, pivot cups, 1 set of large cupped washers and one set of large flat washers and small cupped and flat washers. so like 4 sets of each duro. this would be a lot extra though like 200$ or something

I was offering split-duro wheels before those guys were even in business.

    This would be awesome!

I would spend 60 on a downhill/ freeride pack. It would be great.

Has anybody actually talked to Zak about this, or even clued him in to this thread's existence?

Seems a little pointless if not. I personally would absolutely love to see something like this... Testing trucks isn't as effective when you have a limited supply of bushings, and the khiro barrels are too short for my taste.

D'oh! Missed it at the end of the page.

As for configuration, I'm really liking the weight class idea... Kingpins are secondary and can be bought pretty much anywhere, but flat washers and pivot cups would be pretty useful (Randal size pivot cups por favor?)

If it's under $50 and it includes 81a, 85a, and 87a (and some other duro, don't really care) you've got my order. Standard pack, please.

Seems like the main limitation is how many different kits a distributor or retailer would want to stock.. especially with that reminder from MHM.. bushing kits aren't high demand items..

A drastically different approach to the same issue (people wanting to dial in their setups without wasting money on bushings they won't end up using) could be for someone to offer a bushing kit rental service.. where you get 4 of each shape and duro (or anywhere between 30 and 100 bushings) in the mail.. and mail em back after two weeks..

That wouldent realy work because bushings break in and become dead after a while.

I would realy like a set with x4 bushings between 80a and 90a in barrels and a set with cones

Im hearing all this about pivot cups... Am i missing out on something? i have the stock ones in Randal/Paris. I know ill be getting khiro pivot cups in my Hybrids.

As for the kits, I think light/mid/heavy in barrels and barrel/cone combo. I'd love a few washers, speed rings, possibly mounting hardware.

I dunno what the duros should be, I do something like this.
    light - 78a-85a
    med - 81a-87a/90a
    heavy - 85a-93a

Be sure to throw a few extra of those short cones i've been hearing about. Sounds awesome

Zak, you could do like.. packs with 2 of each elim and 2 of each barrel in lightweight and heavyweight, 4 of each barrel in lightweight and heavyweight.

I'm not any sort of authority but i don't think many people would buy cone packs because using myself as an example, with cones, I buy 'em and then use 'em, if they're too hard i just loosen the kingpin, it's not worth spending an extra $30 to replace 4 bushings just for carving. (Khiro are $5 here, venom are 15$, reflex are somewhere inbetween)

Should I do several kits? Maybe a Premium kit with everything plus kingpins, washers etc, and then specialty kits for each shape? A downhill kit that has barrels and eliminators only in harder duros?

Also, Venom 85a, 93a, and 97a pivot cups are in the works currently so those will of course be included. Maybe a little setup guide in each one?

    What do you guys think?
i'm so ####### stoked that you replied to this

this could get pretty complicated because of all the shapes and applications, but i think a lightweight and heavy weight kit would be baller(78a-87a and 87a-97a).

i also like the idea of the different specialty kits, kind of like how you sell your bushings now (standard packs, super carve, and downhill). i guess you could throw in some elims in the downhill kit...?

    I like those duros : 78-87/87-97.
I dont think cones are necessary. Barrels are much more popular.
I think two different options would be nice, both available in light/heavy. It would definitely be simpler without having cones added in to the equation.

    One option with bushings only.
    -4 barrels/2 elim

    Second option includes hardware.
    -4 barrels/2 elims
-Kingpins (2.75"?), Washers, Speed rings, mounting hardware.

Pricing might be difficult with elims, since they are much more expensive.

Whatever happens, Im STOKED! Definitely buying one when it comes.
