Cain Pre-Order Information Thread

Thats right, the deisgns have been finalized, the renderings are complete, and the machine is waiting(sort of). Unfortunatley, machinetime costs money, money not alot of people have, so for these Proto sets, im going to be selling the, for just enought to cover the machine/shipping costs. Depending on how many of you shredders want in on a set, the price will change, the more the merrier, eh? right now, with 10 comitted people, were looking at about 150/set, and the price drops with the more people that join. Anyways, heres what you all came to see...

Specs
-175mm(other smaller widths can be requested, for no fee)
-Just above inline(1/4in higher), better grip/drift ratio.
-Randal compatible(I can include some paris plates with a few sets, for a fee)
-Stim/barrel compatible seat, with 60* walls, progressive turning.
-6061 Aluminum
-This run is going to be machined by Dave Cindrich, so 8mm cindrich axles will be included.

from what the first ones looked like and since they are being made by dave, i have a feeling these will be a nice set of trucks, but eric please post pics of a set once you make one or the first original set.

youve seen my other hangar, right? its really just that, with an axxle movement and a seat change, and nicer looking.

Thanks. So far, ive only been able to hit high 30's with the proto as a rear. Its stable as balls(in the 30's that doesnt mean much), and drifts nicely. I did manage to bend an axle, proably from all the attempted ollies and bonelessing sets on my niko, but thats not a truck problem so much as an axle one. Anyway, its good to see Cain considered so fast, you guys should be able to see a few more sets with some changes in a few weeks.

yes i have, will the truck be more rounded and not have those right angles for edges? oh wait nvm took a closer look at the cad drawings

Haha, yeah, the final CAD is the design for this run. As far as a date, there isnt one, just once i get enough comitted people(enough to cover the costs of manufacturing), then ill go ahead with it.

I still have an Evo lying around that needs some trucks.
175mm is a great truck width for that thing, especially running 76mm RFs or Flywheels.
I wish I could afford to buy more stuff right now.

Could you do a wider set? Like 195?
