    Default Grind King Jay Adams

Anyone have any experience with these trucks? How are they in park? Any pro's/cons?

As much as I respect Jay Adams I haven't heard much good about these trucks. Not that they're bad but there's much better trucks.

I hear they wear quickly if you grind them. I'd get Indy's or Trackers. However I've never rode them so it's not my personal opinion.

We sold them for a while, but not any more. Too many other good trucks out there.

i have NEVER heard a good thing about grindkings, ive always seen them contsantly getting looser, a friend of mine had a set and he would skate with a allen key in his pocket because about every 20 min he would have to tighten them and then later after doing a reasonably sized acid drop hit top washer broke in two

I have em, and I abosolutly hate em. After 2 days the kingpins stripped out and I had to go in with a grinder and cut the bushings out just to bolts out.

I emailed grindking, but they never responded.

I would say indy's, I love em to death, but don't waste one cent on these bastards.

now web trucks i have heard very very good things about, they have an added bar that really makes coming off of grinds much easier when its big coping

I havent ridden them on any of my setups, but I know two kids that do, and they love them. So, by that statement alone you should go out and buy them

For most park/pool skating that most silverfishers do, they're crap. However, for shortboarding, they're very good trucks. The allen key kingpin is annoying, but it allows for nice hangar clearence on grinds, so it takes longer for the hangar to grind down to the level of the kingpin. They're light, and can be configured to be pretty turny. If you're a shortboarder, go for them. Right now I'm riding Ventures, but I was all into Grind Kings before, and I'm pretty sure I like the Grind Kings better.

The cup washers do break, and should be replaced, by the way.

GKs were my first shorboard trucks. After 4 months or so the base plat nut had stripped itself. I thad worn all the aluminum so I couldn't tighten the kingpin. I let them sit for a long time. About 8 months ago I put in some grade8 kingpins and JB welded them to the bases. I have them on my sliding setup and they work very well. I won't buy another set, but I made theses work.

How wide are those hangars?? They look like just normal GK7 hangars with a slightly taller baseplate.....
