    Default Invader trucks

Anyone ever tried Invader trucks? I guess they've been around for a little while. How do they carve? How do they grind?

I ride invader trucks on my slider, I don't carve them much or grind but they are sturdy and stable at speed.

i ride the 950s, very wide and fairly stable. wanted a low, indy type truck for my sliding board, got the invader 950s for cheap. the stock bushings are absolute ****, you'll think your trucks are horrible...throw some orange independant bushings in them and they'll crank like no other. good trucks.

I've been a sponsored longboarder for Powerhouse Roadboards, and I swear by Invaders. I used the 9 inch wide Invaders. They are better and different slightly than Indys. They're very stable at high straight speeds, and carve like champs. We didn't do any grinding, but they are tough enough to do so if that is your thing. We would take them up to 40 MPH. We would use only Kryptonics wheels and I could actually 180 powerslide the soft Kryptos on our Invaders at high speeds to gain control when there is no room to carve.

Much closer to classic (70s/80s) Tracker geometry. I used Invader baseplates to complete a few sets of trucks when I came across some old Sixtrack hangers from 1980...

So weird I was just thinking of remounting my invaders...

The Internets can read my mind.

Still think they are great trucks for what they are btw.

I run these slightly wedged on an old Kryptonics Resin Flex longboard and they carve like beasts. I even like the old stock bushings -- soft squishy rubber like things, but still have some rebound to em. My go to cruise around the town, pick up the beer, board but def can handle the high speed carving around the hills I take it thru.

I have one of those ol Resin Flex Boards! The shape and flex, plus a kicktail....it was way ahead of it's time! A great low, freeride board! I think the Invaders came stock with that board.

Never grinded on them, but if you put Khiro bushings on them they carve realy nicely. They're alot lower than the inverted kingpin trucks, and make for great slide trucks.

    Thumbs up Re: Invader trucks

I consider these trucks one of the best kept secrets in longboarding.

I've been 40 on them as well, on an OLD town and country 48 inch board, with 2 inch risers, and they were a bit twitchy, but I felt very comfortable! Stock bushings were ripped and torn, but honestly I love the bushings. The trucks are as low as they can get without exposing the kingpin.

The geometry of these trucks is awesome. The pivot cup is almost perfectly inline with the pivot angle of the whole hanger, unlike the indy 215 and more like that of a regular Randal DH truck.

I never have to use speed rings on them, because they are built so well they don't need it. I have 5mm spacers on mine putting them at 193mm.

They are SO responsive, and for serious DH stuff I think maybe wedging them would sure help alot for stability, but these are probably the best trucks per dollar you spend on them. $35 dollars!

    Ask and ye shall recieve.

Got this board at a pawn shop complete for $60. I've never seen another board by T and C before...

I designed this board as a DH board, around these trucks. Haven't sealed the board yet, so it hasn't been out for its maiden voyage yet, but these trucks will do it nicely.

Here is another picture showing the height of them.
