Default tracker mini trucks comparison? (i.e. mid vs full)

Hey, so I just picked up an Arbor Pocket Rocket deck yesterday and I'm trying to figure out what trucks to get for it - for now I think I'll flip my randal 150s for it and see how that goes.

It seems like a few people on here swear that midtracks are the way to go, but how do they actually compare to the fulltracks? Is one much more turny than the other, or are they close enough that it's really just more about the wheel width you can fit on 'em? Do you all have the ones with the new/old drilled baseplates?

And, just because I'm curious, can anyone compare the trackers to those little GFHurleys (or even to how flipped randal 150s with soft Bones hardcores will feel)?

They all seem good, I just want to know if there's a huge difference between any of 'em.

    Thanks!

Just curious, why flip your randals? If you want turny then just keep your hangers regular and put in softer bushings.

Edit: I'm not trying to stop you from buying Trackers cuz I would like a pair of mids

Actually, I was going to flip the Randals to make them less turny - I've read that Randals are a little too crazy on the Pocket Rocket's 17" wheelbase. But now that you mention it I'll probably just throw them on as is, with soft Bones bushings and everything, just to see for myself.

    Thanks for lookin' out, though!

Holikujak - I was trying to avoid the slalom trucks because... hmmm... well, honestly just because I know nothing about slalom gear. Aren't they really tall?

    really? good to know!

so far the randals are a lot of fun, but i think that the main thing mini trucks might have going for them is that it seems like it'd be easier to do standing slides. wouldn't you get a lot more leverage against a smaller wheelbase (or something like that)?

Yes, you would get more leverage... (same size lever (the deck) being applied to a smaller set of trucks)

...I don't know what it'll mean for your ride, i'd guess it would be easier to transfer rail to rail...

at the same time tho, you are more likely to lift an outside wheel in a turn with smaller trucks and tight bushings..,.

autocrash, that's probably true about lifting a wheel, but with my mini board i probably wouldn't be going fast enough for that to really be an issue. it's just for cruising or maybe doing piddly old school tricks, so i'd probably set it up with softer bushings, and if i started going too fast i'd just carve to lose speed - i've got a 38" deck for speedier runs.

i said "leverage", but what i really meant was that it'd probably be easier to do cess slides with a smaller... uhm... lateral wheel base? i mean more how the two wheels on a truck combine to act as a contact patch, and i'd be able to get more of my weight behind it to put it into a controlled slide. this is just a theory, but it seems to make sense, at least based on when i was a little kid and tried to slide in my socks on lineoleum floors with my feet together vs with a wide stance. or maybe i just need to start putting my front foot right over the truck.

yeah, so... theres's really no one with any mini truck comparisons to offer?
