    Default Bushing recommendations for Indy's

Hey folks, the local skateshops don't carry much in the way of bushings (other than Doh-Doh's which feel terrible). So before I ordered a ton to experiment with, I thought I'd ask for some advice.

I'm riding a 47" pin, Indy 215's w/ orange Indy bushings, and am in the 180-190lbs range.

I'm looking for something that'll turn, but give me more support so I don't have to completely compress the bushings to avoid wheelbite (with 76mm wheels, using half inch risers)..

    Any comments are appreciated. Thanks!

why not Doh-Doh's? There are a lot of different ones. I always liked the old red ones. Dunno how the new ones are because I bought about 20 sets a few years back.

Doh-Doh's produce the desired effect, but they feel "crunchy" It's like stair stepping through a turn, the trucks aren't smooth... If that makes any sense.

I'd suggest you get a set of Khiro Barrel Bushings, maybe yellows or blues. I prefer softer bushings so I dunno. THe best thing to do is buy a bushing kit and experiment ( I know thats not what you wanted to hear)

The Indy replacement bushings are much better than the stock/oem Indy bushings. Try the red or orange ones--much nicer than stock.

That's hysterical. I would have thought that orange was orange. Would you recommend the blacks given my weight (180lbs)?

No, the orange will be fine. I'm 200-210, and run the red and orange (usually mixed).

The stock Indy bushings are pretty lack-luster, but for the money, it's hard to beat the replacement ones (they come with nicer cup washers, too).

Cool, thanks Mark. I'll add them into my next MHS order.

I've had some good experiences with the indy replacement bushings... (I'm running them in Randals, but still...) I like the feel of a harder bushing on bottom, and the reds on top..... (currently I've got blue or green stims on the bottom, and red on top, its carvy, but still stable...)

Sounds like your problem is wheelbite. I would add more
that 1/2"risers. Try wedged risers fat ends in plus the 1/2"
risers you now have and you can run looser trucks without
    wheelbite.

Wedge plus 1/2 inch risers...that seems like it's a bit high. Is anyone out there running a setup that high?
