    Default Bushings and lubrication

Are there any incompatibilities between any specific lubricants and Urethane? My bushings (Khiros) are squeaking and also there is a fair amount of aluminum being rubbed off onto the bushing after a while. I'd like to put a bit of lube in there but wondering if there are any specific things I should avoid. I'm thinking maybe mineral oil (except that it'll attract the dirt), plain ol' WD-40 (compatibility issues?), or perhaps a wax based bicycle chain lube (goes on wet but dries so attracts minimum dirt but again compat issues?) Thanks!

armor all , and graphite powder, but armor all is easer to apply less messy and lasts longer in my opinion

Only one I ever used was a wax one.. deffinently don't use it.

In fact i'd say don't use anything at all.. just live with it.
If you have to.. baby powder or the likes.. nothin wet or waxy though.

The problem with slippy lubes is that the bushings can actualy slip out of the seat and your turning gets real funny and sorta jerky.

A little vaseline works great. A LITTLE tho. Apply with q-tip and then use the other side of it to wipe away the excess. After a day or two the excess gets worked out & you can just wipe that up & all squeeks should stop.

Yes, there's an incompatibility: lithium grease will cause urethane to degrade, break down and crack. Since you mentioned cycling, this means no Motorex or Lubriplate grease, but you can use Judy Butter.

Great! Just what I wanted to know...

Any other substances that you know break urethane down? I did a search on google and couldn't wade through all the miscellaneous info. Where did you find out about Lithium grease? Thanks!
