Stock kingpins are too short, but easily changed. Stock bushings are too hard, but you guessed it, easily changed.

I have them on my Hyper-Carve. I like them, and since everyone else was riding it last nite, I'd say they like them, too.

what kind of bushings would you guys recommend? I'm thinking of using the trucks on a slide board, a mini-carve with Sergio sliders....

I freakin' HATE those trucks!! They are just too impractical and ridiculous for me. I'll sell you mine if you want to try them out though....let's say $14 for the set...cheaper if you think that's fair. I know if you buy them off the gravity website it ends up being around $26 after shipping. Roll it around in your noggin for a while and let me know if you are interested.

what's so "impractical and rediculous" about them. they are GREAT turning trucks, and grind quite nice too. for the price they can't be beat for high trucks.

I have them on my Arbor Bomber... I'm just not a big fan of them; my biggest beef is with their construction. I can't freakin' tighten them or change the bushings because the stupid kingpin is set at such a ridiculous angle that causes it to protrude right into the hanger (or whatever that bar that goes across is called). Thus, I can't even fit my skate-tool around the kingpin. I know I can use a wrench, but I don't have the right kind and I'm not willing to succumb. I'm sure they'd be remotely fine with some tweaking and different bushings, but what's the point if they aren't practical in the first place?

UHHHHHH!!...those trucks are dead to me...DEAD!!!

I actually just ordered a set of them as well as one of the mini-carves that Gravity has in their yardsale section, the price was to good to pass up and for a board dedicated to sliding it doesnt matter if its not the best set up out there, it's probably going to get thrashed anyways. Ive never really played around with bushings and kingpins but last milehigh order I purchased some med. and soft hardcore bushings that have been laying around and just ordered 2.75 in. replacement kingpins from Milehigh as well....hope that all works out......

Show up to one of the garage sessions and I'll personally hammer the crap-o kingpins out and the good/new ones in. Hell, I'll even dial the bottom bushing in with some flat washers that'll improve the nut access even more.

And BTW, the 2.25" kingpins will work best with those trucks.

The smaller sizes in the hoodies are already becoming scarce, so order soon. Note, I'm out of town Friday-through-Monday.

so I received the trucks and it's crazy anyone would sell a truck with that small of a kingpin, thanks for looking out for me Mark. I had a hell of a time replacing those kingpins with the ones from Milehigh, is there a secret to replacing them with this truck? Haven't been able to skate them yet because it's been raining non-stop for the past week or so, as soon as it clears up I'll let the interested know my oppinion.

Hammer out the old ones. Place the baseplate on an old/spare wheel, so that the kingpin can exit through the center of the wheel.

When you get the old kingpin out, flip the baseplate over and place it on the old/spare wheel. Tap the new kingpin in, using the old kingpin as a "punch." It will take some effort to get the new one in, but nothing too terrible.
