Default first time seismic user. i got some ??

ok so first of i really like the trucks not only apperance wise but innovation wise.

-is there supposed to be a little play in the trucks? when i stand on the board the trucks will move slightly side to side but not to the point where i compress the springs, does this mean i need to increase the tension?

-they sound a little rickety, is this due to the lack of tension?

thats about all i can think of right now but im sure ill have more

Make sure you've got at least some preload (and that the springs are seated correctly). Also, make sure the kingpin in all the way in - "snug" but not too tight.

Yeh, it is directed to have atleast 1/2 turn of preload but I have noticed that the springs will unseat themselves still so 3/4 to 1 full turn is what I would recommend. The kingping should just be in enough so that you can put the safety clip on. Yeh and they do ride a little noisy.

sorry for being off topic but: over the summer i got a board that had some seismic 180's on it. i couldn't turn to well with them so i sold them and got some exkates. what i later found out was since the board was only 8.5" wide, i didn't get much leverage over the trucks. so just now i got some stable 180 seismics for my UA to help with the angle....and boy do i not miss how much of a pain in the ass it is to change springs! i have to put all of my 100lbs on the hanger to try and get the kingpin in...i got one done so far and i have been fighting with the second for about 20minutes not.....ARRRGGHHHH!!!

i wish they made the plastic ones again, those are quiet
