try holding both wheels and " bending" the axle, don't really bend it, but that's the best way of explaining the movement. if the hanger starts turning around under the strain, then you know its bent.
got my new holeys though, and they do it . basicly i think that all axles are slightly off. except for high end ones like jim-z's perhaps.

I noticed when i had my wheels off i could kind of shift one of the axels back and forth. If they are bent then what the frick caused this? I've only had them since like last summer.

I tried that and it didnt do it, I think you may be right about the not as highend axels being a bit off. When i have the wheels on the axel doesnt shift either. wierd

Your bearings might also not be aligned. Make sure the bearings are all the way into the seat, or mabye the wheels have a crooked core.

I dont think it's the wheels and the bearings are all the way in. The wheels don't wobble when you spin them but if you hold the wheels and rotate the axel slowly you can tell that the axel is moving back and forth just a tad. I've never noticed anything when i'm riding either which is wierd, I think it just might not be perciecly strait because it's not alot of wobble, just a bit.

So the axel isn't just bent, it's loose?

this testing thing works well, and every truck i have is slightly bent. try it with your trucks you'll probably find that its true for almost every truck. and i am quit sure it has nothing to do with my wheels not being straight or my bearings not sitting in straight. even if that were the case it wouldn't matter, because with this test your actually using wheels and bearings to apply the force to the axle. i might aswell do it with my bare hands and you might say that my hands aren't straight, which is true but not relevant.
any way, forgot what i was gonna say...uhm...
cheers.

I think i got it!
I don't think the axels themselves are bunt, its just the end of the shaft of the hanger where the axel extends out of, is not perfectly flat. I saw a picture of mark mile high guy cut the metal flat at the end. If i look closely at it mine is bulging a bit higher in one place then the other. I tested this with my 150's and the did it as well, and if any axel should be bent it should be those, i ride park with thosee trucks. thats a relief and its a sunny day to, maybe i'll go riding

that should not have any influence on the straightness of the axle itself, or am i mistaken. it is true that it is most likely that the axle is bent where it extends out of the hanger because it is unsupported there. i wish i was good mith autocad so that i could explain exactly the forces involved.
think of grabbing a metal rod or pipe which is severely bent in the middle. grab hold of it at both ends and turn your wrists. the rod or pipe will want to turn or rather twist around in your hands. what ever you were to hang on to the rod doesn't matter. it will still do the same thing.
i don't think it's anything to worry about, cuase all my trucks have it and i didn't realise. so i'll just skate them any way.
