    Default My Destructos Died....

Ok Iv skated these trucks for about 4 months, I have ollied 2-3ft drops and grinded with them but I never figured that this would happen. It seems to have cracked right where the support on the hanger stops. Heres some photos of the front truck and yes my camera sucks. My back truck is also cracked but not quite as bad. They were only $20 so im not really too disapointed, you get what you pay for I guess. Im curious though has anyone else with these trucks had this same problem? Anyway, So its looks like im going to need new trucks, how are Core trucks for park skating? Im riding a BE40 so am I going to need the 7.0 size?

Sorry to see that. Try Indy 169s, they're pretty tuff.

destructoes are garunteed for lif against axel bending over a certain number of degrees and against baseplate cracks.

my solution. bend the hell out of the axels with a vice. then get them replaced

Well I would rather just get some new trucks of a different brand. I dont really wanna spend alot of money so im really interested in Core trucks. Iv heard they're just as good as Indys and they are alot cheaper. You guys have any input before I place my order?

you can still bend them, then when you get replacements you can sell them, therefore letting you worry less about the price of trucks

So start slidin some big wheels!

    Default that sucks

Wow, I've heard of that happening, but I've never seen the photographic evidence. I've been riding mine for way over 4 months, in ditches and parks and generally rough terrain. I must be a wuss, or a lightweight, or generally easy on my gear.

    How much do you weigh?

Michael Bream told me that they stopped using Destructos as their team trucks a while back because they had broken two hangers and a baseplate. I just figured it was because they skate so hard. Consider yourself in the same class as the Gravity team. I, apparently, am not quite there yet.

I use Cores on my park boards, and have had no problems. Good stuff, and inexpensive.

i feel like that would be pretty damn messed up do intentionally screw them up in order to get their warranty. i say just tell them about that crack and if they will replace it then thats cool.

I just set up a BE with a set of Fury 850s and it's a perfect fit and boy are they turny. They even have good bushings from the factory. Check into those.

Too many boards that I don't ride enough...

I've seen broken destructos a lot lately, at the local skateshop. I say get Thunders, great trucks, no defects heard off yet. almost everybody here rides them.

Lifetime Guarantee on Skateboard Trucks Destructo guarantees its skateboard trucks against breakage during the normal useful life of the truck. The lifetime of a truck is defined as the time it takes to wear down the metal on the hanger showing the axle through the casting. If you crack the hanger or base plate prior to wearing down the hanger, or bend the axle more than 30 degrees we will replace the truck for free.

they obviously have confidance in their product, must be a bad batch.

Yikes, wouldn't that be alot? I'd hate to ride on something with even 10* bent.

core7.0's on my skurfing/park/f*cking around board... love em!! the most painless set of trucks ive ever bought, never a single problem yet. they bushings pretty much suck but most stock bushings suck, lol. plus they are so inexpensive it's amazing! everyone should have a pair, or four.

So what do these CORE trucks look like?

I have a pair of destructos and they don't even compare to my Tensors.
Destructos turn so crapy I hate them.
