The RT/x is designed to be a front truck for slalom, it's more turny.

The RT/s as a back truck, it is more stable.

If you dont use them for slalom, the truck police give you a ticket.

slalom trucks cant be used for strait lines. so, i guess you can use them for non-slaloming, but you'll have to dodge imaginary cones everywhere you go. for going strait they're terribly slow and arent worth using.

Okay, straight up - you can use any truck on any board for any kind of skating. Just some trucks work better than others for certain kinds of skating.

If you're just looking for something around 106mm or so then RTS/X or Fulltracks are great. RTX trucks are more turny, RTS and Fulltracks are more stable.

The RTX/RTS truck combo are great as just cruising trucks too, I sometimes get tempted after going through a course on my slalom board to just keep cruising, and often do if I'm just practicing. I have the same combo on two boards now.

Everytime all you food groups post, it makes me hungry.

I would go for front RTX because it turns early, more
like Indy and a RTS or fultrack in back.

Try front with super soft white khiro bushings and +10 or +20 deg
    wedging.

Back soft blue khiro bushings -10 deg or flat.
