Default reviving old trucks pt. 2

so I have been working on some old tensors that I was given. I am planning on replacing the kingpins, but I can't get the old ones out.

the top of the bolt, (which is placed in the bottom of the truck, deck side) is round. I have no idea if it started this way or not, but it seems intentional.

so the kingpin just spins around when I try to get the nut off....

any suggestions? (other than buying new trucks?)

Grind a slot into the top that you can fit a flat screwdriver into. Hold it on place with the screwdriver while loosening the nut.

if its not a button on the bottom like an actual bolt on there you can stick a screw driver in there to stop it from spinning, but im betting that its going to be like indy stage 9s and you will have to do the cutting idea, use a hack saw and cut through the whole thing

yeah, I was hoping to save them. They look pretty nice considering what they have been through

would it be possible to cut through the nut or something? or trim off the edges of the circle bolt thing so it would slide back through the baseplate?

I began to try to cut a slit in it to use as a screwdriver hole, but I didn't have anything around that would cut it right. any suggestions?

Try holding the kingpin thru the bushing with a slip joint pliers, might get it loose that way, just squeeze the bushing a little with the pliers, might hold enough.....
