    Default question on trucks

a friend gave me his sector nine mini deck, its about 26-27 inches long by 7.5 inches wide at the middle of the deck. i'll be getting a slalom board in the future, but until budget allows i figured the riding the mini would be good for adjusting to a smaller board, and it'd be better for pumping around campus than my 45 incher.
which trucks should i get for the mini if i'm planning on taking the trucks off and using them on a slalom board later?
rts/x seem like a good choice, but i'm not sure which axle lengths to get on those.
    Any suggestions?

it seems 106 is the norm for slalomers.

so 106's won't be too narrow for a mini?

Just right, you could even run 88s on a board that narrow.

Here's how you should do it. Get a wedge riser for the front truck and a wedge riser for the back truck. Wedge the front so it's more turny and dewedge that back so it's less turny. Daddies Board Shop is great. They have Purple RTX/S and Red RTX/S but the red may only come in 129mm. And if you really want a sweet setup, buy some 65mm Zig Zags, either all green or 2 green to yellow. That way when you get a new board, all you need is the deck and you'll already have everything else you'll need.

3/8" should work... good advice with the wedges - they might be enough alone or add another 1/8".
