Default Non-Randal hangers that will work in Randal baseplates

    Hey All

...anybody know which non-Randal hangers fit in Randal baseplates and which work best that way? I want to replace my Randal hangers to get better axles but keep the baseplates the way they are.

    Thanks

... yeah, that's a good suggestion, but I'm not ready to invest like that. I was thinking more along the lines of Force or Holey ... anybody know how those would fit an RDH baseplate?

If it were me I'd just buy Holeys or Force trucks and use the whole deal. Why stick with Randal plates unless you're wanting a very specific angle? Even if that were true you'd still be ahead of the game in my opinion using either one of them than going with a different hanger on a Randal plate.

Stevie, the Force hanger will fit directly into the Randal baseplate. So, if you don't like the two angles Force produces, you can slap the hangers into any Randal plate.

Why would you want to use a misdrilled and warped Randal Baseplate with a Force Hanger when Force Baseplates are so much better? Plus they don't have these stupid tabs...

What the **** ever happened to just answering the dudes question? Like, c'mon! If he wanted advice on which baseplate to use, he woulda asked! For all you douchebags know his dieing fathers last wish was for him to never take the Randal baseplates off his board, so now he wants to put different hangers on it. Just answer the question and stop trying to boost your post counts with useless two cents.

I know you can use Force and JimZ hangers with Randal baseplates.
I read that Radikal Hangers fit Randal baseplates as well.
BUT: If you really would like to use a Force hanger, you'd get a better baseplate with the hanger in most cases, so why replace it? Sounds logic, doesn't it?

And you should think about useless posting yourself my friend. No need to offend people who just try to help...

    Thanks for the input amigos.

Nothing wrong with a little flack here & there to keep things interesting.

I'm going to buy the Force trucks and will probably end up using the baseplate as well. At least I have options.

In the meantime I'll be channeling the spirit of my dear departed Dad to get approval for removal of the Randal plates.

    Thanks again compadres.

Did you even read Ebasil's post above? He gets it. Maybe you can too, with a little thought...

My bad, lack of sleep does funny things with your brain. Appologies to everyone.

I talked to Jeff from Force and he said that all the angles and measures of the baseplates are the same as the RII (Force R7) and DH (Force C7) baseplates, the hanger has the same measures as the RII hanger. They just changed the design and incorporated a few improvements to what they perceived as design weaknesses.
