Default My Holeys need a Home

Im gettin some Holeys in the near future, and Im lookin at boards to put them on.

Right now I have my eyes on the Ladera 38" Ripper or the 42.75" Floyd, and the Subsonic Highland 42".

    Got any other suggestions?

This board is gonna be for fast carves, small-medium hills, and its gonna get me around campus.

Oh and im 6'3'' 175 lbs.

at first i thought you were getting rid of some and trying to find a buyer. that would have been the first set i've seen get sold used. i would say most people won't be letting them go if they have them. as for boards to put them on - i'd say a stiffer board just because they turn so much. some people also put them on flexy boards but it gets too weird mushy for me. i have my holeys on a bozi madbomber 2 and i really like it.

since it looks like my loaded pin in flex and all id say go with the ladeira.

that is if you want some real carving action.i don't think they would go to great on anything else. you would probably slide out on a drop board because of how low they are.

they are ment for carving so use them as they are made!!! also if u want to bomb they will be able to handle it soo well!

What size wheels are you considering? Holeys will def work on a Highland, but you need a little extra riser or slightly smaller wheels to avoid wheelbite.

The best, all-around setup I've found is:

Randal 180s with flipped hangers and soft bushings (Hourglass, etc)
    1/4-3/8" risers
ABEC11 77mm Strikers in your preferred duro
Whatever bearings your wallet will allow

Comet pins are on the flexy side. The more rigid FibreFlex's are better suited to the Holey's.

Yeah those fiberflexes are looking like my best choice this far...What im looking for is a deck with a shorter wheelbase than my 46: supercruiser (I love that thing), with concave, camber, kick, and just a little flex.

MHM...what type of riding are the strikers meant for? They look like sliding wheels to me. Im riding Sector 9 wheels right now... http://www.sector9.com/Merchant2/mer...tegory_Code=WH ... and I absolutely love them...they hold reallly well and drift when you need them to....I like them better than my flashbacks for the style of riding im doing (quick pumps and turns, big fast carves).

Strikers in 78a are great, all-around wheels. They drift predictably, and offer a good ride.

Similar question, mainly directed at you mark:

would a loaded vanguard be too flexy for holeys? what about an insect dragonfly? I know insects usually come with the subsonics, however.

I'm looknig at the vanguard very seriously, as in purchasing today or tomorrow. Also at doing a big order from you, including lush sliding gloves, biltins, trucks for said boards above, and wheels (zigs or gummies)

I know. Flex 4 vanguard or a fairly flexy dragonfly for my light 130 pounds and 5'4 frame.

I've ridden Randal-equipped Loadeds, and they rode nicely. I suspect that Holey's would be OK, too.
