    Default Really carvey trucks

I have been looking for some trucks to put on my gravity mini carve. Right now i have randals 150s on there. I have a set of seismics but they are to springy when im carving i was looking at the originals and they are super loose can turn on a dime which i really like. i just have a problem with the back side sliding out if i turn to hard so im nervous about getting those.

Anybody have any suggestions on some other trucks that may be a great match for the gravity mini carve?

The best trucks for that board are wedged, conventional ones. Something like Indy, Core, or Destructo (with soft bushings) will be just the ticket.

get some S8's and some medium duro wheels and carve to your hearts content.. EMBRACE the slide, its so much more fun when it slides out, it adds a new aspect, and one certain boards you can almost replicate surfing

you dont think the s8's would be to big for the mini carve. I suppose not and may serve the purpose of a more stable yet surfy ride. I guess its something to think about. Im really looking to do just what you said that board is already sweet when carving i just wanna get the right set up on it.

The Mini/Hyper-Carves were designed for conventional trucks in the 150-160mm range.

If you don't want your back trucks to slide out there's two things you can do...tighten up the back truck and keep the front loose and/or add more weight to the back when carving (i.e. move your back foot further back on the board).

They're outstanding. Search on Holey and you'll find plenty of info.

    Yeah Holeys are amazing.

I run Destructo 6.0s on my Hypercarve. They're rad on that board. They go together like peanut butter and jelly.

I have s8's on my hypercarve and am thinking about changing them out. I don't like that back slide out either. I've dewedged them which helps some.

Speaking of the RTX/S...I was curious, are those made to order? I heard that unlike their dart line of trucks, the RTX/S are assembled by hand and they usually take a little bit longer to arrive when their ordered in bulks by shops and distributers. Anyone know the scoop?

The slide on original's is a result of carving too hard.

    Unless you want to slide.

Original's can turn super sharp without having to put a lot of pressure on
    the side of deck.

If you skate original's the way you skate randal's you'll be sliding all over
    the place.

I only slide my original's when I want to.

It's all in the ankles and knees.

My vote for the mini carve is S6's or Carver CX's.

Or Indy 169's with stims or super soft bushings and wedges (like Mark said).

I have another question about holeys, will they fit on my gravity surf rider? Right now I have randal 180s, and I think the holeys are like 174mm or something so it shouldnt be a problem right?

Yes, but the axles sit approx 3/8" father back/inward, and the trucks are also lower. If the board has cut-outs or wheelwells, things might not line up as well.

My experience is that (A) they take longer to get, and/or (B) most distro's don't stock them in the same quantities as the other Tracker models.

mark, since the holeys might not line up ( my board has big wheel cutouts) would it be better to get wedged trackers or originals as a good carvey truck?
