Default Quick question for those with R2-180 experience...

Hey fellas, just got the flexdex 40'' in the mail and took it for a spin. AWESOME board but the trucks are suuuuuuuuuuuper loose and I like to carve [i]fast. How many full turns of the kingpin is safe for the RII-180 before you sacrifice the bushings? Thanks for any help/advice.

Personally I try to find ways to get my 180's to turn more so I have the bushings just tight enough that there is no free play in the hanger... that's how I set up almost all my trucks. But if your looking for less turn you should be able to crank them down almost as much as you want because long before the bushings die you won't be able to turn worth crap so you'll find yourself loosening them anyways. Harder bushings are probably your best bet if you have some lying around or have the motivation to go out and buy some.

<-- from a guy that can't even post a truck question in the truck forum?

--Switch to flat washers and then tighten them as much as you want. If you're heavy enough and have a wide-enough board that you really can't get them comfortably tight, then it's time to put a BLACK Khiro barrel bushing in place of the lower bushings...plus another flat washer to ensure the effective height of the bushing is the same as the stock Randal unit.

--If you overtighten your stock bushings with the stock cupped washers, you'll cut the bushings and things will get worse.
