    Default Randall 150 or 180?

Im planning on getting a sector 9 pintail deck and im unsure what type of trucks im going to put on it. I want the board to have the stability to bomb large hills with a lot of control but I also want the trucks to be great for hard carving and tight turns. I also realize I will have to upgrade the trucks with bushings etc. Should I go with the Randall 150's or 180's.

a lot of it depends on the width of your board and the wheel base. if the board isnt very wide and you got with 180s then getting foot bite can be a problem, but if the board is real wide then 150s will give you wheel bite. the other thing is that i have 150s on one board and have no trouble in the 35 mph range. i'd suggest trying them both if you can. i have both and the main difference i've found with stability and turning radiouse is the wheel base and the bushings.. i havent found the hanger size to make too much difference for me.

    Default pintail

    hey gofer,
if its ur first lb let me give u a piece of advice....go with somthing besides a sector 9.. there are probably about 20 better pintails out there ,, sector 9 makes decent boards but every one who longboards gets a sector 9 first and then wants something better,, i say jus get somthing better to start... ,mabey a loaded or landyatchz........i have a loaded vanguard and its a serious crowd pleaser ,,,, i here good things about there pintail and the trucks that come w/ a complete are what they designed the board around.....if there was such thing as a corporate devil in the longboard industry its gotta be sector 9..............dont get me wrong i have a luke nose walker and its a cool side walk surfer ,,,,, thats just my 2 cents hope it helps.......
