Default Best Trucks for the Loaded Pintail

Ok, we all know how nice the Loaded Pintail is.. i recently posted a poll http://www.silverfishlongboarding.co...ic.php?t=25900 that delt with silverfish viewers opinions on what deck is the "best" for 28"-36" carving cruising downhill machine... ultimately the poll concluded after only a few hours that Loaded Pintail is definitely the favorite

Now i am asking for some personal help.. i have the vanguard.. but i need something a little more reasonable for bringing around campus in classrooms and what not.. after seeing the information given from the poll i posted on the decks i decided im going to stick with Loaded because they kick ass and go with the Pintail.. lol alright sorry down to the question which trucks would be the best for this deck.. i already know that Randals 150 are highly recommended by Loaded.. but are there better options out there??.. i have heard things from crails, holeys, trackers, randals, originals.. i ultimately need something stable enough to bomb some hills, but still be able to dodge stuburn students around campus, and be able to deep carve around the pools/banks.. let me know through the poll on some truck options i have chosen.. and feel free to post replys to this post with further advice.. thanks a lot everyone

i dont know if that poll means the pintail is your best choice, or if it is just the most commonly owned. assuming dodging people is more important than bombing hills, (because you can bomb hills on anyboard, but an Evo isn't gonna get you around campus) i'd think a little slalom board like the bahne black hill or something would work better. it would also be better for carrying and stashing in class.

but this is about trucks. I have R2 150s with no risers on my loaded pin (which is a very good and turny board), and it works great. unfortunately, bushings make a big difference on the setup and the stock randals arent what i'd recomend. i've tried strait up red indy busnings which gave it a loose fast turning feel and clear lathed radikal barrel bottoms and red barrel tops have a loose but stable(er) feeling.

so, my vote is for randals, because thats what i have. crails seem like a bad choice. loaded has mentioned choosing the tracker rts/x combo for a setup which slides more, so whatever that means.

yes the pintail was the most popular and it is also my choice going into my next purchase. what i meant by "dodging studetns" was that i dont want a truck that has trouble turning hinting at a comment that was left on my last post about crails being good for the pintail. basically i agree with what you are saying about the Randal 150 i would definitely upgrade the bushings, no matter which truck set up i wind up going with. in my mind right now its definitely between the tracker's and the randal's just because they are the popular set-ups for this deck. feel free to prove me wrong on this one though. thanks for the feedback. later

i found that crails on my pin made the board great for everything. keep in mind i was running them stock except with one randal yellow bushing in front.

the board turns very well with crails(i can only imagine with better bushings)
it is also really! really! stable. i could footbreak super easily and was also able to shift my feet while going down some pretty big hills

i love mine as well with holeys but honestly for what he wants i think crails will be better.

it is much easier to footbreak with crails than holeys on a loaded

Holeys get my vote. Too bad I don't have my Pin anymore...

Hopefully I can save up enough cash to buy one of them new bamboo Pins!

i run them loose as hell. with the crails it will be a great ride. very stable and it is also more fun to carve because it takes more force. idk you just gotta experience it.

anyway the loaded is such an amazing board that it feels great with any trucks. i do not recommend torsion trucks though it just dosen't feel right

Unfortunately, I had to sell it. I needed the cash for my car, and I knew a guy who was dying to get his hands on a Loaded Pin. He was willing to give me $110, so I couldn't refuse. Don't worry though, it's in good hands. And those new bamboo pins are sounding pretty tempting...

    I miss my Pin

I'm guessing they should be released soon. Early in April, I read on the Loaded forum that they should be out in 2-4 weeks.

awesome guys.. so you think Crails would be a good match over Randal-II 180's??.. my ONLY concern with the Crails is lack of turnability for cruising around campus.. if they can do it i am definitely down to give them a shot over the Randal's i just want to make sure im not sacrificing turnability. by the way are they heavier than Randals? thats another factor im looking for a lighter board than the boards i have now.. either way im planning on changing out the bushings for some Khiro's.. im thinking *soft (blue)*

thank you all for your help

Put in some Tracker Hourglass bushings and the Crails will turn just fine.
