    Default Kebbek Caften Suggestions

I think I want to go back to maple speed board for carving that uses bushing based trucks, I miss the ultra quiet ride. Force Trucks seem like the best thing but I'd like to hear if you guys have any other suggestions as getting Force trucks from Oz seem a bit far-fetched... and extremely expensive.

    Don't even suggest Vandals.

Crails? Maybe, the turning angle would be a bit steep, but if you've tried it out lemme know.

Holeys? Turning angle again seems a bit steep with the Caften's front wedge.

I ride Crails for carving and bombing and I love them!

My suggestion is go for Crails! And buy a Radikal Race Pack of bushings and a 3 inch kingpin. Best upgrade for crails.

..Capt., Mark has Force trucks mere days away.Email him to see how many EXTRA's he has left to sell. Ask Gimmy (Mark Grimace) about Force trucks rideability. I am sure I read he loved them.

Have you ridden Crails w/ a 17.5 positive wedge though? That's my concern. I'm pretty sure I want a Caften which has that positive wedge to it.

The Force Trucks are "the perfect Randal on steroids" They will not dissapoint at all. The Crails are going to be a bit more stable at speed due to the small angle of the truck before the wedging. Lets face it niether trucks are cheap. And I would recommend that you switch out the kingpins for 3"Grade 8's right off the bat. With the bigger KP both trucks fit loads of Bushings options. I have had double JimZ bottoms on mine and they are massive bushings. I have also run double Radikals. Basically the Crails will be more stable at speed. BTW this is all refering to the 50 degree Force not the 35...they would be more stable.

    I hope I didn't make you more confused because I am...hahaha

The force DH trucks look like the ****, and I can't imagine 67.5 degrees on the front truck.. I run randals DH on my Demonseed and they turn really nice when they get some speed, a 35 degree force would be 52.5 degrees in the front and 35 degrees in the back wich I believe would be a great setup.
I hate signatures, so i turned them off

Exactly what I'd be going for with the caften. Oh... if only Randals didn't suck so hard...

well, you dont need to use randals, use for force C7's. they are a 180mm hanger with a 35degree baseplate. they would be a perfect match for a caften. im runing a 50 degree front and 35 degree rear on my speedboard at the moment. thats the same geometry that running to 35 degree trucks on the caften, so thats my suggestion

    Default Caften setups

I would agree! I've tried a bunch of setups on my Caften, and the 35 degree bases (whatever your choice is!) seem to feel the best!
