    Default Rainy day tune ups.

So it's raining. Just enuff to be annoying. like me. So I'm taking the time to do some tune ups on the trucks. Mostly switching bushings. The short kingpins on the Indys have had me down for awhile.

Today I just put my Doh Doh's on them without the lower washer. That gave me more threads to adjust tightness/looseness. Trucks are turning way better now. I also switched from 149's to 169's on the Gravity C39. Much better fit. Yellows in back blues in front. Front truck wedged.

I also tuned the Randals up with some Khiro combos. Again I left off the washers for a few extra threads on the kingpin. Feels pretty good. Although I have been skating the Originals to the point that the Randals barely feel like they turn. New pushings did help a little. (the rain slacked long enuff for a real test run on these) Blue tops and red barrels.

Debating taking an old set of Venture 139 highs and setting them up on the Mummy. Wedged out all slalom style. Turn the Mummy into a real GS board. The Ventures always turned pretty good for shortboard trucks. I'll try this out soon. Maybe tomorrow?

    Default Rainy day tune up

Use to completely tear down my boards on rainy days, and clean/adjust
what was needed. Now when thoughts of Luna wiggle through my brain late at night, I figure out odd ideas, like a 101mm in back on my santa cruz hutson. But sanity kicks in and I nix that wild hair. The more I mess around with my trucks the more screwed up they get. The set up for Luna,
Indy 88mm blue Khiro bottom white top front, Red bottom blue top back.
Seems to keep the pump going.
