Thats right, 250 mm wide Original S10s on the OnShoreBoard landshark!
results:
- I was able to carve like never before, the carve was SO SMOOTH all the way from one side to the other of the trucks tilting limit. The front inline cluster of the OSB coupled with the Original S10 made for effortless turning, fast turning, seamless, zero resistance unlike a 'thane bushing truck.
-the wheels STAYED on the ground, ALL they way thru the turn, even when the board was leaned all the way over, unlike the stock R2 trucks, where the wheels lift up in the turn. Made for GRIPPY riding in the corners and the rain.!
- the S10s limit stop also prevented the rubber bumpers of the OSB from scraping the ground, by about an inch or two.
CONS: broke 5 sets of the Original special bushings in less than two hours, DUE to i believe the inline cluster on the OSB allowing an extremely sharp and almost 50 degree lean angle, which stressed the lower bushing (near the hangar) on the S10's, and cracked it. Did'nt crack ANY of the top bushings though..interesting...
I had to have the S10's tightened up all the way, other wise when riding it was impossible to ride due to the inline cluster making for a tippy ride. I believe the tightness of the truck also contributed to the lower bushing break, in cojunction with the above paragragh........
All in all it was an interestig experiment. I would NOT recomend this setup, the S10's are better suited when they are paired together as a matching truck.
