No i disagree i think originals are the best carving trucks and i have ridden revenges and holeys... so dont just say they are the best... its ur opinion
im sure SS would agree with me on this one.
and he is the almighty SS
-
yeah i too disagree. i love my holeys but they don't carve as much as revenges or originals.
-
i absolutely love my originals too... no question

revenges and originals both feel like bannanas when you get on them. and I have ridden originals revenges and holeys too so stop acting like you are some sort of almighty truck god, douche bag and I feel that these trucks let you do much more than just carving circles in a parking lot.

I usually don't like to get into personal attacks, but oh well:
Up yours twat-face!
(A little crude, but it gets the job done)
okay so anyway, the ride of the trucks is a very personal and subjective matter. You can't say that one truck is better than another just as you can't say that how you comb your hair is inherently better than the way your neighbor does it. Different strokes for different folks eh? I have a friend who doesn't like the ride of Randals or any other truck of that design simply because he likes the pullll of a convential roller-skate style truck, whereas the Randal just turns you and feels tight like a snowboard. Another big part of it is skill level. I've seen that same friend ride a barfoot with Baku (spelling?) torsion trucks, which I feel shaky about at a top kicking speed with, ride a hill carving it up like crazy hitting a pretty good speed down the hill, like 15-18mph.
Basically don't just freak out because people don't agree with you, learn that some things are just a matter of opinion and that it's okay to disagree.
That said, I'll take Randal 180s with their crappy QC any day!!!!! What can I say, I love 'em.
Me fail English? That\'s unpossible!

Original's feel like bannana's?
You sure you've ridden them?
Oh wait.....you've only done circles with them in a parking lot.
They are capable of much, much more.
I've carved some very steep hills (hills I'd be scared to bomb) on them.
Who's acting like the almighty truck god?
Who's a douche bag?
Nobody in this thread, unless it's you.
Your response was unnessasarily harsh.
No one attacked you.
You expressed your opinion.
Others retorted with their opinion.
And then you resorted to name calling.
Sort of pre-pubecent behavior if you ask me (and I'm not perfect
either. I've acted like a pre-schooler on more than a couple of occasions.)
Not trying to get on your case, just pointing out that you may have
over reacted.

I hate to disagree with you Mark, because you know your stuff very well
and are a great guy.
But I have to say that Original's are not torsion trucks,
although you did say torsion type. So you're not exactly wrong
about that. Original's are often lumped in with torsion trucks.
Because they are both turny and unusual I guess.
I don't really consider them a torsion type truck though.
Also I don't find Original's to be linear at all.
They start out a bit tight at the neutral position and get progressively easier to turn as you lean more into the turn (up to a point).
At least that's how it feels to me.
Conventional trucks turn most easily from the neutral postition and
get progressively harder to turn as you lean more into the turn.
Sorry. Maybe we can just agree to disagree on this small issue.
I agree with you on virtually everything that you write.
I do agree with you about torsion trucks like revenge and exkate.
Opinions vary and I could be be wrong.
Unlike the Fuzz who is never wrong.

I love Randal's too.
I also love Original's, Carver's and Indy's depending on what I'm doing.
They are all my favorite trucks.
And you're right when you say the performance of trucks is somewhat
objective.
I do say often that Original's are the best carving truck available.
But I'm not really trying to imply that this is a stone cold fact
(even if it sounds that way).
It's just my opinion based on my experience and I feel strongly about it.
It's still an opinion though, just like 90% of the other stuff that I write.
Opinions vary.
If they didn't there wouldn't be that much to talk about here other than
stoke spreading skate session stories (which are always good).

so how many MONTHS of riding the Originals or Revenges did you put in??? most of the people that have tried them have'nt layed down a comment on them until they've spent a long time riding them and getting used to them. 8)
and uh, you CAN do more with both trucks than just "carving circles in a parking lot".
UBUNTU

I've been riding originals for 2 years and SS is right, they do turn progressively. You can carve circles on them and if you're my friend Ryan then you can take them to close to 30 mph without any fear of wobbles. I've never ridden Holeys so I don't know how they compare to those but I must say they look nice.
P.S. Someone's opinions about a skateboard truck is nothing to get offensive about.

Thanks for defending me guys.
who else here is excited to try the new original mini, cuz i kno i am.
Im not gonna lie when i first got originals they were the biggest pain in the ass, once u get used to them u cant get off of them... i used to ride them on my gravity dt and u get some crazy wheel bite on it... after a while i could ride and carve and not get wheel bite becaue i was so used to their limit on my board.
So pretty much u should try originals for a long period of time before you talk.
didnt mean to offend you

Wait, so he's a douchebag that acts like an almighty truck god for posting his opinion on the trucks, and you are rational and factual for doing the exact same thing?
-
Don't worry The Chef he was just going with the fact that anyone who disagrees with him is a douche bag and doesn't know what they're talking about although they claim to be the longboarding messiah. I mean look at tasteoffink's he clearly states that he is the all knowing smartest longboarder in the universe and no one can argue that.
Oh wait, hold on a second, tasteoffink didn't say anything along those lines. I'm confused now.

No offense taken.
I am a whore.
But I like to address each persons's comments in a seperate post.
And did you see how long my posts were?
If I combined them all into one it would be virtually unreadable.

i have nevr tried holeys, but i own some originals and i never liked how they ride, it feels like theyre turning TOO tight, and it seems like its all or none. I MUCH prefer the feel of randals and even conventional trucks. (conventional trucks are only good for me on a small wheelbase with REALY soft (khiro white) bushings)
as dark as a black steer's toocus on a moonless prairie night.

I wonder wich truck would hurt more, when smacked it at some punk ass kids head. Why the need to say; Originals suck bigtime og Holey trucks are the best in the world and everybody who thinks something else should die and go to hell while getting off on their mother? I got a friend who is perfectly happy with his S9 pivot trucks(standard bushing/no wedging) I tell him that he should buy some new ones and that they will enhance the ride, but after trying the different trucks I have, he's just like: Nah, I like my old crappy trucks.. blablabla... after that I'm like: Ok, as long as you don't stay home nerding when the weather is skateable I don't really care what trucks your are on and feel free to borrow my leftover randal 150s anytime.
The important thing is that you go out and have a great time on whatever setup your riding!
I hate signatures, so i turned them off
