    Default 180 hangers

I've been thinking about the force trucks, or even the people who run 180 hangers in dh plates. Whats the advantage of having a wider hanger, I know it'll be more stable but what about cornering?

The wider hanger will definitely be more stable, while sacrificing some turnability. It really depends on what board you are using and what kind of riding you plan on doing as to what the best setup would be.

Most people will agree that a sweet spot is between 170 and 180mm. Some guys prefer the turnier 160mm DH hangers, and some prefer super wide 200mm hangers. 180 is right between them both, and seem to be stable and turny.

A shorter hanger won't turn any sharper than a wide one, but it will turn quicker. Quick turning is important only when you need to turn quick (ie, slalom), but in downhill, you won't be changing directions quick enough to warrant a short hanger on even the most technical course.
    I'm a man...I can change...if I have to...I guess.
