originals, no question. Carvers are close, and imo are much easier to pump. They are meant however (c7's) for a roughly 36 inch deck of stiff nature. the cx's ive never ridden but are supposedly not as turny but usable on a flexy deck. Personally, i prefer originals for all out carving.

carvers are turny but they turn differently than most trucks right? just the front truck is the special made one, so its more surfy... originals will perform more like super turny conventional trucks, i think.

Super turny for carving = Original's (very best carving truck available IMO), they pump pretty well too, but not like....

Super turny for pumping = Carver's, I prefer the CX but the C7 is looser
feeling, even turnier and pumpier (?) but much less sturdy and reliable.
They don't carve nearly as well as Original's though, IMO.

Another excellent very turny and pumpable truck = Sidewinders

Best turny truck for all around multi purpose skating = Randal R2's
(or Holey's I guess, but I still prefer my Randal's) they don't turn anywhere near as tight as Original's but are more versatile overall.
Good for carving and good for bombing, although not the best for either.

    Right about the Carvers.

Sort of right about Original's, in that they don't have a swivel effect like
Carver's. But I wouldn't compare them to conventional trucks in any
    other way.

I actually find the Original's to be the more surfy of the two.

Exkates can get the carving job done, I havent been too successful with trying to pump with them, and the big downfall is they break. Apparrently no matter what, they break eventually. Almost too turny too...

The answer is obvious: castor wheels.

Yes, they are. Look here - http://www.inventist.com/videos/side...-video-low.wmv

I did that with some tool box castors and an old Bartman (yeah, Simpson) deck when I was like 13... Busted my ass and didnt touch another skateboard till this past March... That was ten years ago.
I might have been younger.... cant remember.

If you are thinking about a Super turny truck keep in mind that you will have to have a deck that is made to avoid wheel bite (or use a ton of height to jack your wheels up off of your deck).

To get an even more turny system try riding originals on something with a tail. Ride the tail like you normally would on a shortboard and you will be able to cut turns tighter than you ever really wanted too.

    here's my experience....

when longboarding got backonthe map about 10 years ago...Wedged Indys or Invaders were the beginning.

I went to a downhill race and was riding some Randall DH trucks on a 48" hammerhead board. Aguy walks up to me and asks what I think of the trucks. I tell him, they're too dead, not responsive and I wished they turned better. He said "Hi. I'm Randal".

A year later, RII 180s are on the market and I am in hog heaven. A year after that, the torsion guys show up (exkate,, baku a few others) and Iliked the super turny stuff on longer decks.

I still have some Exkate201s on a 72" deck that I've taken close to 30mph.

I had some originals, but the flop in the center scared me off and I gave them to my brother in law. They seemed a lot like the torsions to me, same rotational set up - diiffernt tuning.

Crails, Holeys and Force are RII variations - which are all great hill riders and nice carvers. Better at speed than the super-turny trucks.

I love the variety we have now (jimz, radikal, airflow too) adding to our choices and rides.

It's a good time to be a longboarder.

Seismics are also really worth looking into for turniness. They wedge up nicely. The pump is incredible. They do need to be dialed.

Original carve deeply and relentlessly, if you try to do a bertslide with them theyll just turn in a circle around you. Carvers are also turny but they turn from the front so they dont have that deep lean of the Originals. They are better for flatter carving and pumping. Thats my experience after ridng both, the only other board that gets close to that are the Carveboard/stik I've demoed it around a parking lot and it made deep close carves like the originals but deeper.

Too bad you didn't mention the QC too, otherwise life would be perfect right now.

Quick, somebody make a time machine and send NBtodd back to set Randal straight.

Originals have the most lean out of any trucks I have tried. They also probably turn the most. The S6 are narrower then the S8s.

Have any of you Original owners tried Nuclear Pickles?

    How do they compare?
