Why some people use flat bushing washer on randal trucks?

Nuno, this is to prevent the bushings from being cut and to give a little more turny feel to the trucks. This forum is FULL of in-depth discussion for tuning your randals and all about the bushing issues. Use the SEARCH function, and enter "randal AND bushing AND flat"....into the search box. VOILA!!

I did not find sufficient information about, and I still have a few issues, however, i did manage a little experience, I flipped the stock top washer, definitely the truck gets much more turny and sensitive but the bushing seems to get much more stress, so my question is:

Will the bushing get damage Due the fact that is not working as is supposed to work?

Anyway, I did order some flat washers and 8 grade king pin to see the result by myself, the performance I know that is good, but, what about the bushing durability?

Unless you have your kingpin nut really cranked down, your bushings will be fine. And you would be better off using flat washers anyway, even if they do shorten the life of your bushings, becasue the cupped washers would actually cut into them before they wore out.
