I love my Originals. Find them to be a really turny and fun setup. Not sure if you would need S8s for that board, maybe S6s because they arent quite as wide. R2 150s or 180s?

Then you'd definitely want the S6s! The S8s are something like 220mm which is just huge. I have them on a 56" LBL and it turns almost as sharp as a board half its size. I highly reccomend them!

but i heard that the s6's are too small, and that if I rail a turn, i would get such nasty wheelbite.

I would say you'd be much better off with S6s than S8s. Not sure where you heard that, or about what board. S8s are bigger than R2 180s, which would more than likely stick out more than you could want/use. I think, but will have to check, that the S6s are similar in size to 180s, or maybe a little narrower. You shouldnt get wheelbite. Are there S4s? Can't remember, but seem to recall that those are 150 size. I love the Original trucks, just get them in a size that will suit your board. (ie similar width to the trucks you have now.) They come with tall risers attached to them, to prevent wheelbite.

I have original s10s on my original Custom 45 and I must say, there is no better truck for carving (that I've tried). Just make sure that it's impossible to get wheel bite and even if the truck is wide, you can always just push from farther out.

s6's are closer to 150's. s8's are wider than randal 180's. i'd probably go s8's, but your best bet will be to talk with the guys at original, they're really helpful and will point you in the right direction

ok lets get some facts straight they have 3 types of orginals s6's (150mm) s8's (200mm) and s10's (250mm).

now you have to watch for wheel bite with all of these so you will most likely need to do some modification if not wanting to run really high risers.

Also the narrower the hanger the quicker it turns.

I run s10's on one of my boards when there not broken that is, and i consistantly break traction really really easy because they turn so sharp. So i would stay away from the s6's if you actually want to go faster than 20kmh without killing yourself when you want to turn, but personally i would go with a set of s10's, just you will have to get use to kicking with a wide stance or your wheels are gonna run over your feet when you kick

On that note i just realized its been a month since i sent an email concerning there bushing quality, and scott over there saying he would sent me some replacements, i wonder if they will actually show up :S ah oh whatever only time will tell, i have faith that they will

thanks to all of you, especially Lokki. I think i will try some s8's (but only on capret first); loosen them up alot and then back to normal (this is to see if they actually do give me wheelbite) and, if they dont totally work, ...well...umm...how good are the people at Original about extremely, lightly used returns?

(NEED INFO ON THEIR RETURN POLICIES ASAP)

    Thanks again!

    Lokki-
A little disappointing after all that talk about how rare a thing it is from Scott and all the defending of that truck going on from so many SF'ers. You would have thought he would have jumped on it in a hurry. Low maintenance trucks are pretty nice. Never have to mess with my trucks on my Carveboard or the Longstik. Four years on the Carveboard and I cracked one nylon bushing from dropping the board down not from riding it. Longstik also rides circles around my Custom 45. Better grip, better feel, harder carves, way, way lower deck more snowboardy, more surfy, just not in the same league for me. I wonder about the new wider Revenge but I keep reading they are snapping off the anti wheelbite tabs so I am reluctant to jump at them.

yeah i have had my moments, but i like to get the facts out there good and bad, but i have gone back to the traditional style trucks for the majority of my boards, not saying i would nt use the non tradational style, but as said there high maintance (orginals, seismics ect), but they will allways be on some board in my quiver at some point in time.

and to be honest that set of revenges i won way back with the board building comp, i have only mounted them once, took them for a spin around the block, didnt really like the feel, took them off the deck, and they have been in my parts bucket with wheels still on them since, so they been used a total of about 7 mins or so. But im sure one day i will make a board suited for them

    Inferno:

I wouldn't worry too much about their return policy. If you decide that they're not for you, sell or trade them on the Fish! People are always looking for replacement trucks/new trucks at lower prices. I had Randal DHs on a board I wasn't using for DHing anymore. Several interested buyers/traders within a day. Tracker RTs? Shipped from my house within two weeks of posting the ad. Point in case being you can always get rid of them for something else.

If you end up getting them, get some 1/2"+ risers to prevent wheelbite or just cut your board to the specifications of the truck. Revenges may actually be a nice choice for that board if the R-IIs aren't doing it for you. They ride high, about the same height as Randals with 3/8' (I'm guessing) risers and turn well with no worries about wheelbite. But as Loki said, with any non-conventional truck, you're at the mercy of the specific retailers for replacement parts. Fortunately, the majority of the longboarding community is pretty good on customer service.

    Best of luck to ya.

or u could just use the information on their websites that shows u how to check if the truck will work with ur deck

    http://www.originalskateboards.com/c...6&go=tutorials

i mean u dont have to use it because its only on the original site and they dont really kno much.

original pisses me off sometimes. my friend has an older original deck that came with s6s but the board has no cutouts. you can't carve at all to the full potential because you get wheelbite. sorry but that just ticks me off!

    ok listen up
if you have a board that is narrow at the truck mounts like a loaded, you wont NEED those huge risers.......my homemade pintail and loaded fish take turns with my S8's and neither get the bites
and you CANT tighten or loosen originals

you could also pop some custom hanger stops on the board, kinda like the uptrucks limiter.
